The key/lock box situation was a little confusing for me and some others who were trying to get into the building, most likely because it ws late and very dark when I arrived. The hosts already responded to this issue and assured that it would be solved and the entry made a bit easier.

For such a popular destination, Leadville doesn't have much for restaurants or lodging. We did eat at Tennessee Pass Cafe and thought they were super friendly and welcoming and the food was great.

Interesting place but there are just too many mentally ill...
Interesting place but there are just too many mentally ill shopkeepers who have to advertise it. One shop had a large professionally made sign in their front window angrily denouncing the Supreme Court with extremely explicit and offensive language--sure am glad I don't have young children.

Pricey location, modest rooms with comfy bed. The place would definitely need some facelifting/renovation. Get the ice machine fixed. Do not choose this place if you want to have breakfast included. The place had coffee, 2 types of juices and waffels. We checked out hungry.

Leadville has an old town feel with a good variety of restaurants in price and quality. Nice selection of museums, I really learned a lot at the Jewish museum. The drive to Twin lakes and Independence Pass was great.

Leadville is a town with considerable history in mining.
Leadville is a town with considerable history in mining. We visited the National Mining Hall of Fame and Museum. This was a treat and very informative. We enjoyed the displays, dioramas and story boards. This museum is great for all ages. We also walked the main street and were pleased to learn it was the beginning of Boom Days, an annual festival. Leadville is located on the Scenic Byway- Top of the Rockies. The view going south on US 24 were fantastic!

Many Leadville restaurants are struggling with staffing issues. Expect to have long waits or food service not available. It seemed very odd for a tourist town to have restaurants closed for breakfast at 10:00AM on a Sunday during peak summer tourism season.

The Zinnia is a charming Victorian house that has been nicely modernized, comfortable and well appointed while retaining its historical aspects. The location is perfect - near the businesses, restaurants and interesting places to visit in Leadville, but distant enough from the main street to be a quiet place to stay. Leadville is in a beautiful setting with magnificent mountain vistas and lush valleys, and was a welcome get-away from the high temperatures of summer at home!

Booked for a last-minute getaway and could not have been more please. The cabin was thoughtfully appointed, creatively decorated, and very comfortable. The property was far enough from Leadville to provide an oasis of serenity from the usual tourist bustle. Yet it was close enough to quickly access restaurant and local attractions. It was best of both worlds.

The hosts were very communicative and responsive, which made checking in and out a breeze.
