I wish we had had time to do tours and walk arounds, but we were there merely for a family event. The neighborhood seemed a great place to loiter around, although the weather was extremely chilly at the time we visited.
Love staying at The Guest House and dining there at Farrah’s. Enjoyed the food and atmosphere at Frankie’s on Main, shopping downtown eating dinner at The Kitchen Bistro while listening to a jazz pianist. Also loved the band at Locust Alley. Took the walking Ghost Tour with Scott and was fascinated to go inside the old jail.
A city with a lot of history, I loved going to the famous Under-the-Hill Saloon, it takes the cake, be sure to go. It has an excellent vibe, I liked the decoration, music and atmosphere. I walked right away from the Mississippi River, I just didn't have time to visit some of the mansions that abound there; like Longwood or Rosalie Mansion.
Beautiful town with a lot of historic homes and great places to eat. Love sitting and watching the tug boats pushing barges down the Mississippi River, Under the Hill you will find The Camp - great food and drinks.
The town and local s were wonderful.Shopping was excellent, food was great. The balloon fest was a disappointment. Nothing was on time, and there was no balloon flights unless you knew where to watch them take off from wherever they decided to do that from. And that was not the festival,we waited hours to see something and the glow was 4 balloons for maybe 20 min flickering. NOT what the paper and adds built it up to be,talked to many disappointed people. The highlight of the trip was seeing Chapel Heart sing, they were awesome!
Natchez is so rich in history and culture. We learned(or re-learned) so much about the civil war, the Spanish, English control of the area and the restoration after the civil war. The display in the visitor's enter is a must-see. The story of slavery and its presence in Natchez was eye-opening. A guided tour of Natchez helps you understand all the influences that makes Natchez the great place that it is. We found the people in Natchez to be friendly, helpful, and welcoming. Be sure to see Natchez "under the hill".
Natchez
This place was exceptional. Jessica at the front desk was so helpful and nice. Henry, the gentleman who served us breakfast every morning, was just an absolute delight. The location was perfect for what we wanted to do in Natchez. The rooms were fantastic (we had two rooms). We even got a ghost story from the owner. I will stay there every single time I go to Natchez. The breakfast (which is included with your stay) was so good, and just enough without being too heavy. You feel like you are in someone's home, not a hotel.
We enjoyed our stay at Linden, which is a beautiful and very impressive historic property. Definitely a memorable and unusual experience. Breakfast was excellent and served by two delightful members of staff. Our rooms and beds were comfortable and furnished with wonderful period furniture - we've never had to use steps to get into bed before! It's a short drive into town where there are plenty of places to eat - we especially liked the older places in Natchez Under the Hill.
Natchez
This is an extraordinary villa with an extraordinary view, friendly staff taking care of only three or so rooms. You have a lovely pool available overlooking a bend in the river, how scenic! quiet location on the outskirts of Natchez, but still walkable into downtown.

The location was close to amenities. The room was clean. The fridge worked nicely. The bed was comfortable. It's a cheap hotel. For cheap it was great! Would stay here again.

Absolutely nothing was good about this hotel. Not recommended. Pay a little more and stay somewhere else... anywhere else.
