Little town was cute, tons of places to eat. We had awesome homemade ice cream at Rock Salt Milk Bar - homemade waffle cones too! Tons of beautiful homes, went to Senoia (they Film The Walking Dead here even have a store for everything "dead".)

This is a Very friendly town that is very inviting for travelers and tourists. The town of Newnan has done an exceptional job of preserving their history and making the town look like a real quaint place. I hope to return when I can spend more time here.

I love Newnan. I have stayed in Newnan a few times now. It is close enough to ATL but not too close. I am able to avoid the hustle and bustle but still be close enough to everything. Most people in the city are very friendly.

Newnan is such a beautiful place filled with culture and history. Peaole are friendly and helpful. Everything is beautifully groomed. The town square was wonderful. Visited Fine Lines Art Gallwryand Framing, Leaf and Beans, and Ace Growlers. Loved it all!!

The City of Newnan was found in 1828. Long known as "The City of Homes" Newnan is proud of its architectural and cultural heritage. The first stop is the Coweta County Convention & Visitors Bureau located in the 1904 Courthouse on the Court Square. The courthouse is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Because we were staying with family we did not have an opportunity to eat at any of the local places - but The Redneck Gourmet would have been our first choice! There are a few well-known Cowetans - Alan Jackson, Lewis Grizzard, Erskine Caldwell and Margaret Anne Barnes. We tried to go to the Lewis Grizzard museum but due to the holiday weekend it was not open. With Coweta County's wide range of locations & picturesque areas there have been many movies filmed there - Driving Miss Daisy, Fried Green Tomatoes, Pet Sematary II, The Walking Dead, Hunger Games 3, to name just a few. It is also the home base of Raleigh Studios. There are many shops located around the square - all locally owned and operated. We shopped at the Greenhouse Mercantile - it is a very small space that the proprietor managed to fill with delightful items. Getting around Newnan is pretty easy. When we went to the Square we parked and walked around a bit. There are some interesting events throughout the year, too, including art walks (March & September), Taste of Newnan (April & October), Summer Wined Up (June), Oktoberfest (October) and Santa on the Square (December). The place is quiet and decent. Clean rooms and no bugs. No noisy neighbors was a plus. Breakfast needs a lot of help. Coffee was good. Area is pretty much isolated. There were two service stations and one McDonalds, a Huddle house nd a Waffle House. Down the street was a Dollar General.
