It was a very thought out room and the hotel was very well run, easy check in and check out. The rooms had everything you needed. Best value for the money in all of Marin! No doubt! I will come again!

This is a great location to explore the north bay area and convenient to the ferries over to San Francisco or to drive over Golden Gate to the city. Also would be able to drive up to wine country from here. We recommend taking ferry from Larkspur Landing over to San Francisco for fun day trip. Also visiting Muir Woods to see the magnificent coastal redwoods. Point Reyes National Seashore is another wonderful day trip. Recommend going early for wildlife viewing. The "Wildfox" restaurant next to the Best Western Plus Novato Oaks is superb!

Very nice restaurants and shops in the old downtown district. Lots of independent businesses like going back in time + Peets Coffee and Trader Joes. Grazie Restaurant was excellent and I would go back and Marvin's for breakfast was worth the wait.

Well it's my hometown, so I have an affinity for the place. With the boom in Bay Area prices, it was one of the last areas to catch on. You can tell a change for the better is happening as far as restaurants.

Very cute downtown area, excellent restaurants, fun stuff to do. My husband enjoyed the Hamilton Historical Museum, the Museum of Contemporary Art, especially with all the individual artists in residence who were friendly and engaging, hikes in Olompali State Park and proximity to the coast and wine country.

Lovely town for the grown up crowd. Good choice for later dinners. Check city events to catch some free or low cost fun. Boca Tavern has great dinner selections. Finnegans has best creme brulee. Take ine of the well marked walking trails or drive out to the beach.

THIS PLACE IS SO HORRIBLE!
THIS PLACE IS SO HORRIBLE! MANAGEMENT SUCKS. The guy in the front desk is very rude and racist! We had a one night stay and when we went to check in he didn't even greet us nor did he seem enthusiastic that we were there. When he spoke to us he spoke to us with an attitude and as if we were bothering him. NEVER IN MY LIFE HAVE I EVER BEEN DISRESPECTED, we went the next morning to enjoy the pool and he quickly came after us accusing my family members and I that we did not pay for our stay and we were not allowed to use the pool! OUTRAGEOUS WHEN HE CHECKED US IN THE NIGT PRIOR TO US, he claimed that it was his rule and said that the Caucasian couple that was in there seemed bothered that we were there, when he was the one that literally made everyone uncomfortable!!! Yelling at us kicking us out because we "did not pay" like this place needs a new manager because never will I stay at this establishment every again and no else should!!

The Best Western Plus Novato surpassed all our expectations. We had an amazing and really large room. The whole interior is modern and inviting. The gym and pool are also nice. We enjoyed our stay before visiting San Francisco very much. It’s just a 30 min drive to the city. And we can highly recommend the restaurant next to the hotel. It was by far our best hotel during our journey through California.

The hotel is near Sonoma & Napa. Despite what all the reviews say, I find the beds very comfy during my stay. Also the staff was friendly during the check-in process. I used the coin laundry which worked very good. I did not notice any shady people around the property. Starbucks in walking distance.

Location was everything, we spent one day in Novato and another in San Francisco. Laying out by the pool was great and we liked that the room had a sliding glass door right off the pool.

Most rooms face the courtyard area. There’s fire tables and chair swings. Very relaxing. It was very quiet. There was a DJ one day at the pool. Great weekend get away.
