Love the fact that there is always something going on like the music festival and how the community comes together. Although I lived there few yrs ago still visit family there and every time love to be the tourist such fun little shops and great ppl overall💖💖💖
We stayed in Oak Harbor because of the location in the middle of Whidbey Island. Location is good to go South or North. The town does not have a downtown local wharf or tourist area. We were disappointed there was no quaint area in Oak Harbor and nothing much to do, Langley and Coupeville made up for this. Deception Point was a must see! Anacortes was our favorite place to visit, our favorite on Whidbey Island!
Nice quiet town Beautiful scenery State parks with walkable beaches Easy access to ferry from Coupeville to Port Townsend. Where you can easily take scenic drive to experience the beauty of the Olympic Peninsula
We came in during the begining of fall and the weather was wet and cold. But the beauty of Oak Harbor and Whidby Island was still on display and we enjoyed seeing the real deal not just the tourist attractions. I also fell in love with Coupville. The Whidbey island yarn proprietor was amazing and her hand died wools are well worth the price. The Knead & Feed is an excellent choice for breakfast (Yummy). Elcazador has the best taco plate with excellent beans and rice. We made memories! And if you are on a budget The Coachman Inn allows you to grociery shop and cook meals at the hotel if you want to save money on the food costs. And above all if you want to really enjoy the local fare go in with a smile and friendly attitude and the local people will open up. We Loved it!
Beautiful harbor city with lots of amenities in town and close by. We enjoyed a trip to Ft. Casey and the state park surrounding. Great short trips to Clinton, Anacortes, Coopville. We loved the hike to the beach from the roadway at Deception Pass.
Lots to do and see with young kids! We got a discover pass and spend both days of our weekend trip at the deception pass beaches, cranberry lake is wonderfully warm and calm, the west beach has fun rocks to climb on, the north beach has a beautiful view of the bridge, town has just about all the standard restaurants, we went to a park in town with several playgrounds before dinner the first night

The room was very clean as was the hotel, parking was not an issue as there was lots of space in the parking lot when we arrived. The desk clerk was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our room was located on the Main Street so had traffic noise, which wasn't terrible.

We came for a half marathon and 10K run. The hotel went out of it's way to welcome us with gifts like water and a gear bag as well as make sure breakfast was available for an early start!
