This place is absolutely beautiful, inside and out. Everything in the suite is comfortable, tasteful and sumptuous from the furnishings to the bed linens to the bathroom products. The view is spectacular and the garden lovely. The hosts provide snacks and oatmeal, coffee and wine and bring pumpkin cake for breakfast. I only wish we could have stayed longer. Oak Harbor
Offering 80 acres of wooded walking trails, Wildwood Farm Bed & Breakfast is located in Oak Harbor in the Washington State Region, 16 mi from Port Townsend. We loved EVERYTHING! From our gracious hosts to the extravagant fireplace, the brand new living room furniture (we had the pleasure of relaxing on first) the view...OH MY the views!!! The stunning A-frame home, small pond, horse arenas, full 85 acres of working ranch, an abundance of boarding horses, big, small, loving, shy, playful "kids", a ranch based tac shop, walking and horseback riding trails, lessons, and attention to every detail throughout! We felt like entering a mansion when there were lion statues that greated us at the entrance... Gregg and Heather were the most welcoming and layed back people/hosts I've met in a long time. We came to the ranch for a much required break from the hustle and bustle, and this couple did not disappoint!!! The breakfasts were to die for, and the eagle's hunting over the grounds as we were at the dining table was a magical morning! Not only did our hosts make us feel at home, they also gave us great tips on local restaurants, beaches and other events that happen in Oak Harbor (which we will be back for!). As you can tell, I was more relaxed this weekend than Goldilocks was after her porridge feast! With no bears in sight, just cute deer, we relaxed in our private hot tub off of our private deck. :) During the day you have the views of the rolling arenas, ducks flying in and out of the pond, an eagle or two fly overhead, an apple orchard and a sitting table all in your quiet space. Off in the distance of our quiet and serenity, there would be an occasional quack or neh from the animals, which made the ambiance even better. The evening though, that's were the real peace is at, enjoying a beverage in the hot tub as we watched stars shoot across the night sky. Then to our room to sleep like babies on the bed, play cards at the table, snuggle on the futon and watch a movie from the selection upstairs, or just on cable. I could not have asked for a better break!

Oak Harbor is beautiful. Love the water/beach, mountains, and Deception Pass was lovely. I love seeing the mountains in the back drop. Everyone we came in contact with was super friendly. We had breakfast at Island Cafe and Dinner at Orlando's. Getting around was a breeze even if we didn't have maps because you just travel in one big beautiful circle.
The hotel was right in the middle of the town,Everything is close by, clean and seems like a good and safe place for families with children. Park was right there we don’t have to go far, even the beach. Walking trail is right there. First time my husband don’t mind to walk. (First time 😅) Come and see for yourself. Lot’s more to see, you won’t regret it 👌🏼👌🏼🌺🌺👍👍
Very nice place to visit, the kids loved seeing the fighter jets when you come into town, very beautiful places on the way to oak harbor to take pictures of the sound or what ever you call all the surrounding areas of water around here. Lovely place to visit.
Whidbey Island is beautiful. There are some nice parks on the Island and many spectacular views. From Oak Harbor, Skagit Speedway is a reasonable drive. For the more upscale, Museum of the NorthWest in La Connor is a hidden treasure in a very pretty port town. Driving south from Oak Harbor theres lots of beatiful scenery and camping grounds and the ferries to the mainland are how you connect in the South.
I have been here multiple times since the late 1940s as a young child and now as an older person. The town has grown immensely over the years. Revamped downtown. Restaurants and places to eat are so so; nothing excellent. The town is very Military oriented since a significant portion of the population is either active duty military or retired military (US Navy).
Down town had a lot of local flavor. Had all of the conveniences: restaurants, drugstores, grocery stores, parks. Had waterfront. Close to many islands, ferries, etc. and state parks. Local churches for many denominations. Loved the music festival.
