Friendly little mining town…close to Mt. Wilson ranch.
Friendly little mining town…close to Mt. Wilson ranch. Very small downtown and minimal options for dining and shopping, but we were able to find everything we needed. Buildings are very old but well preserved and are like stepping back in time. Locals are friendly and the weather in mid June was beautiful. We came for a family reunion weekend at Mt. Wilson Ranch but were very glad to have the house to retreat to (reconnecting with relatives is fun…in limited doses!). The Silver Cafe is the primary eatery serving basic but tasty diner food with friendly service and reasonable prices. There is a small but well stocked grocery store and two gas stations. I’m glad we came.
