A free breakfast is provided daily at this pet-friendly hotel. Rooms feature free Wi-Fi. Coeur d’Alene is less than a 1-hour drive away. Breakfast was OK. Middle of the road. There was no place to walk the dogs because of the snow and there were no dog bags anywhere. Lots of dog poop in the snow. (We brought our own dog bags because I have stayed there before and I knew you didn't have any)
Outdoors Inn has air-conditioned accommodations in Ponderay. Private parking can be arranged at an extra charge. Certain rooms also offer a kitchenette with a microwave, a fridge and an oven. Wow ! What an experience. This little "boutique motel" is truly a find. I had heard about Sandpoint, Idaho and it is a lovely little town. I was looking for a hotel a little upscale - but different and happened upon this place, Outdoor Inn. The whole place has been totally redone and redecorated, the owner is an architect and did a beautiful job on the rooms which are "luxurious" and "rustic". I booked a room on my way up to Canada and was not disappointed. The owner and everyone I encountered was super friendly and helpful. I'm going to book again for our trip back down.
This town is busy! People were friendly, town was clean, many things to do to beach to the mountains. We enjoyed our stay. The little hallmark and more shop downtown was so neat! Owner was there and was a treat! Beautiful things in a array of different tastes, definitely worth the trip.
Pleasantly surprised with an overnight stay at Fairbridge Suites in Ponderay, Idaho. Very nice updated room beautiful bathroom ,comfy .with fridge and micro. Friendly front desk person. Sack lunch for breakfast was appreciated with hard boiled egg. Not serving at motel because of covid. Would recommend a stay at this facility.
The people here are pleasant and helpful. The area has a lot of beautiful scenery to look at. It is easy to get from one place to another. There are a lot of shops on the main drag. We ate at the Hydra Restaurant and the food was great.
There more on a quick pass through town as part of a much larger road trip. It offers just what we needed at the time, was comfortable, navigable, and pleasant. More time may provide more possibilities than we were able to locate.
Great community with fantastic restaurants, convenient shopping, for main stream as well as local boutique stores. Easy to travel and all the amenities you might be looking for or forgot to bring are readily available. Don’t miss the shops on mainstreet in Sandpoint. The toy store in the mall is full of unique and interesting activities and entertaining products for the young ones in your party. Absolutely check out Farmhouse Chicken and Silo Bar for a great meal and friendly service.
Ponderay is Sandpoint's sister to the north so it's easy to hop from one community to the other. They share magnificent scenery and recreational opportunities. What's not to love about this area! Getting around in Ponderay is quite easy. Sweet Lou's Restaurant & Bar and the Farmhouse Kitchen and Silo Bar will satisfy your appetite and thirst. One of my favorite places to visit is Ponderay Garden Center. Love their plant selection and gift ideas.
I love that this property is very close to Schweitzer Mtn. We rode the Spot bus which has a stop across the parking lot in front of the restaurant. And hopped in the mtn shuttle at the base parking lot. All free transportation. This hotel is a prime spot to stay if your going to Schweitzer mtn without the price tag of the mtn resorts. It took us about 30-45 minutes to get to the mtn without driving ourselves. Breakfast was good, pancakes, fruit, yogurt, cereal, muffins, bagels, OJ, coffee, and tea. Nice common area to sit and eat breakfast.
The staff was friendly and the breakfast was very good. A choice of strawberry or plain Belgian waffles or pancakes, breads, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, cereal, fruit, and yogurt. Different juices and of course coffee. The room was small but clean and functional. Especially appreciated having a microwave and mini fridge since we were there for 3 days of training in Sandpoint.
They are remodeling the hotel. Everything in our room seemed new. Breakfast was excellent. Staff was very friendly.
Great breakfast, friendly staff. Older hotel, but well kept with a log cabin feel. Close to Schweitzer.
