An array of activities can be enjoyed on site or in the surroundings, including canoeing. thoroughly enjoyed our stay; they're log cabins which have been completely modernized on the inside, and I especially loved the cathedral ceiling in the living room/dining area which made the space seem that much bigger. The beds were very comfortable, it was quiet at night and we couldn't have asked to stay in a better place

There are so many things to see and do in the fall in Rangeley. There are beautiful overlooks in the area such as Coos Canyon, Height of Land, and Quill Hill., numerous trails in the woods for hiking, mountain views, waterfalls, many lakes, Rangeley Lake State Park. Even though we visited during peak foliage season, it didn't feel crowded or commercialized like many other such communities. We had dinner at Fork in the Air and it was a great dining experience with terrific food and the friendliest staff around. We also ate at Sarge's bar and grill where we grabbed a beer and pizza while watching a ballgame on one of the big screens. I will definitely return to Rangeley for a longer visit!
The inn is a wonderfully relaxing spot. The renovation add comfort without taking away from the historic beauty of this wonderful place. The morning breakfast is delicious and our meal in the tavern is always great.
This place was amazing: cozy, quiet, and we all felt right at home when we got there. The staff are friendly and helpful to a fault, and everything including the cabin and common areas were pristine!
This is a very nice little lake town with a very walk-able downtown area with several restaurants, shops, etc. (Walmart has not destroyed this one.) We were there in the off season which we prefer. Would certainly return.
The drive to Rangeley from Portland was gorgeous! Every view was like a postcard. We didn't have a chance to see much of the town in daylight, but it was very quaint on our way out. Would've liked to see the lakes and enjoy them. We ate at the Forks In The Air bistro on mainstreet. It was a great find in such a small town! I had the pasta with mushroom and was impressed. My husband enjoyed his chicken very much. We heard others rave about the mussels, but they were out when we arrived. We went back to the Rangeley Inn for dessert . Was disappointed that they were out of the blueberry crumble we were offered by the host, but the apple was good, too.

The rooms were beautiful. Pool and game room were nice. Didn't get to swim in lake because of colder temperatures but kayaking was fun. I would definitely recommend doing small falls and the town was quaint. We had a great relaxing family vacation. We also got to see a moose!
