Comfort Inn & Suites Sacramento - University Area is conveniently located 15 minutes from the Sacramento International Airport and 7 miles from downtown. So a young man named Jorge answered the phone when I called with an emergency change of plans and needed an early check in. He informed me he couldn’t promise everything but he would do everything in his power to try and make it happen. He informed me he worked the day of check in and to call an hour before I needed the room that day and he would work his butt off to make it happen. When I called he said it was ready, he accommodated us so respectfully and with such personable experience, the rest of my stay here was great as the rooms were clean and they provided all my families needs and with 2 little ones it can be a lot. Thank you for your great service this is our go to hotel when coming to Sacramento

I always like to go to Old Town, plus I visit a long time friend who lives 10 minutes away from Old Town. I liked eating at the IHOP next door to my hotel. I got around easy with use of my GPS on my phone.
My daughter found a broken piece of a crack pipe while playing on the phone on the 4th. I put it in the trash then the housekeeper came in and cleaned the room throwing it away on the 5th before I took a picture of it. The heat went out on the 5th and never came back on. I was over charged to stay another night and wasn't allowed to book it online when it was cheaper. Paid $92 instead of as low as $60 like I was use to. I've stayed here before and it was much better. The woman that checked me in was very rude and unreasonable but I had no where else to go in all the rain with my daughter.
You don't have to drive to get anywhere because the buses and light rail is just a block away and you can walk to Walmart if it hot...but now that it is cold outside you can walk a half a block in catch one bus in get off .at the second stop..and cross the street from Red Roof is a wendy , Starbucks.. Philly Steak Shop, Quiznos.and a Gas Station to get snack food and the best Regular and flavor coffee mine is french vanilla..and the morning downstairs is free breakfast that is if you eat breakfast I
Sacramento has everything from the big city of la to the small country towns of of the back City rules properties I was really impressed with all the different views and all the different landscapes in sizes of building from scratch skyscrapers to meager home residents it was beautiful place. We saw the light show, we visited the zoo, we ate out a beautiful restaurants one thing do not go to the main library is filled with homeless people and it smells.
Old Sacramento during christmas time is amazing! They have light shows for you and the family. You definitely need to check out the bars and night life in the downtown area. Plenty of museums to visit as well.

Not a lot, we had to change rooms as the first room provided didn’t look like it had been serviced AT ALL! Reception moved us but didn’t seem too happy to do so. Our second room was cleaner but not great. The whole building needs attending/upgrading. Just pleased we only stayed one night. The only positive is that you are able to walk to Old Sacramento although we passed some dubious characters along the way!!

The midtown location is perfect for touring downtown and East Sacramento. Each morning starts off with an absolutely delicious breakfast. The Amber House is a beautiful older home with nice updated bathrooms and very comfortable beds. After some initial difficulties with staff, we were treated with warmth and attention to detail while our complaint was taken care of in a generous manner.
