Sacramento is a great place. The hotel was terrible. First room given had no towels , no toilet paper and no working TV. So they gave us another room which was fine but ran out of toilet paper, towels and could never get room cleaned or bedding changed. So I told them just give me linen and I would do it myself. I purchased toliet paper than the next day they gave me 5 rolls. I will ever stay their again. The only thing good was the location and bed. Not worth the $582 for 6 day we stayed.
The Crocker art museum is the crown jewel of Sacramento. Best espresso was at Roots. Dinomite Italian dinner at il Fornaio. Punch bowl social is a fun bar with lots of games from ms Pac-Man to bowling! And great staff. Revolution wine cafe for a perfect outdoor lunch.
I spent my time visiting family,in Sacramento. I did not have time to visit the sights in Sacramento. I did try Mountain Mike's Pizza. It was very good! With the help of google maps, I was able to get around well. I found Sacramento to be fast paced city!
My trip to Sacramento was almost accidental-I was traveling to possibly buy a car from someone and complications made me have to stay longer than expected. I was not looking forward to going and was planning to leave as soon as possible owing to my memories of what the city was like 20 years ago when I made stop-overs on bus trips. I was pleasantly surprised this time. Over the last few decades, Sacramento has undergone something like a renaissance. Yes, there are still homeless about, but the problem is nowhere near as bad as in San Francisco. There is so much to do and see here that I was actually sorry when the time came to leave, and I'm planning to come back one of these days just to see all the things I missed this time. You can spend hours just exploring the Capitol grounds (just the grounds, not the building itself) and not see everything.
I was driving from Portland to Phoenix and in a hurry to check in, get sleep and after I checked in, I couldn't wait to hurry and leave. The restaurant there was Indian food and they were out of chicken...? Gave me a terrible stomach ache. I wouldn't recommend it.
This hotel is filthy, toilet bowl running continuously. The toilet cover was not cleaned and sanitized. It had stain and hair . The shower curtain was so awful smelling and dirty that I could pass out. We did not take showers for 3 days due to unsanitary and filthy 2 Bedroom 430 sq ft room condition. The phone was not working. Carpet was dilapidated and stains all over. Everything smells like weeds. The room was not sanitized. No welcome water bottle. Fridge was not cold enough. Pillow cases had molds and hairs in every single one of them. It was an ordeal and nightmare. We were originally booked for 3 nights and on the first night, I wanted to check out because of disappointments. It is like 0 star hotel. This is terribly unacceptable. If only we can get our money back on this kind of filthy, toilet bowl running ( we are having severe drought) and this is tons of water wasted. I could go on and on. Is there any Health and Safety Inspection agency that regulates cleanliness of hotels ? What happened to Hilton standard?
When we first walked into our room, the air conditioner was on, and sounded as if a loud blender was running, so we asked for another room. Glad we did, since my sister (I had not seen in a year and a half due to C19), and her husband were checking in, therefore they gave us a room next to them. The location is very good because it is fairly quiet. The breakfast was adequate for a “bag breakfast”: yogurt, juice, apple, bagel (you toast in the eating area). The 2nd morning we skipped the “breakfast to go”. Very clean accommodations.
The SpringHill Suites by Marriott Sacramento Natomas upon entering had amazing cleanliness. Front desk was extremely nice and helpful. The breakfast/dining area, the hallways room were amazingly upkept. The room exceeded our expectations. The bedding was fresh and clean and so comfortable. I have to applaud house keeping, we did an early check-in and the room was more the ready to have us in. The lighting and fridge worked nicely. The bathroom was clean and sanitized. The bathtub and shower head worked and were so relaxing.
This is a full-service convention hotel in the middle of downtown Sacramento. I was only here for 12-hours but from everything that I saw & experienced, it's a great hotel. Room was clean, quiet & comfortable. I went to the pool/hot tub and it too is nice for a convention-style hotel. When traveling for business you just want things to go quick, smooth and fast - they accomplished this with an efficient check-in - i was in my room in less than 5 minutes after arriving - perfect!
Comfortable room and bed. Even though it was flu season they offered good food and service with outside seating with heaters, even in California! Staff very friendly and accommodating, attire professional. Lovely views of the river when outside. bathroom amenities and coffee. Wonderful breakfast included! Nice decor, a few Christmas decorations. Great area to be a tourist if it hadn’t been flu season!
Downtown Sacramento, Sacramento
Loved my short stay here and have rebooked for my last night in the US in a few weeks' time. The reception staff were incredibly helpful, especially given my late arrival time due to a delayed flight. If I was staying in Sacramento longer, I would have booked a dorm bed but still enjoyed the privacy of the double room for this one-night stay. Would recommend for couples and solo travellers.
The breakfast was great, and the bed were very comfortable. Rooms were very nice sized. Lots of space when traveling with kids. We had a small outdoor patio that was nice in the evenings. The pool and hot tub we're clean and heated and we were able to enjoy them. The location was great, easy to get to downtown and many different attractions in Sacramento.
We had such a wonderful time at this hotel. The location is perfect for easy access to fun, local activities. We didn't even need to use our car. Everything was clean, the staff was super friendly and helpful. The pool area was clean, and a fun place to spend time. I would recommend staying here to anyone visiting Sacramento. We will definitely be back.
Things that I liked about - microwave Things that I hated - elevator was closed once - even though it’s non-smoking room i could smell cigar from the room next to - could hear cars in the freeway next to the hotel - nothing is around the hotel (no place to eat, only Burger King)
The rooms were very modern, clean and big. We didn’t use the pool but it looked good and was very popular. Husband liked the breakfast - especially for the price. Really liked the hotel and would definitely stay again if we were in the area and wish we’d had longer there!
This place was horrible! The entire hotel is as full of whores and transient people. My “garden view” room was directly facing the freeway off ramp and a homeless camp with several people shooting dope right before my eyes. I will NEVER stay here again. EVER!
The Hotel and room is Super clean and fresh!! All staff, especially the evening desk clerk, chef and bar tender/waiter are really attentive,. Also considerate. This will be our Sacramento stop on our road trip to Oregon! Free wifi!!
The Governors Inn Hotel Sacramento is a very nice Hotel. It is very clean and very comfortable. The rooms are large and the beds are comfortable. The decor is pleasant and the staff are extremely polite and helpful.
Breakfast was very good. I arrived very late and notified the hotel beforehand and they were very gracious when I arrived. Our room was made up and everything smelled good the next day.
Sacramento
very dirty facilities, bad smell, dirty beds and rooms, the worst experience I have had in this application is in this hotel, I do not recommend it very dirty and bad smell
Perfectly fine hotel with a clean room and continental breakfast. Really just your general hotel - nothing special but nothing out of the ordinary either!
The location of the hotel is great! Easy access to the freeway, and downtown Sacramento was minutes away.
LOCATION AND GREAT ROOMS! The views of Sacramento are picture perfect from this hotel.
cleanliness of hotel and location so close to Sacramento airport
cheap parking next to the hotel
