Sacramento is a great place. The hotel was terrible. First room given had no towels , no toilet paper and no working TV. So they gave us another room which was fine but ran out of toilet paper, towels and could never get room cleaned or bedding changed. So I told them just give me linen and I would do it myself. I purchased toliet paper than the next day they gave me 5 rolls. I will ever stay their again. The only thing good was the location and bed. Not worth the $582 for 6 day we stayed.
The Crocker art museum is the crown jewel of Sacramento. Best espresso was at Roots. Dinomite Italian dinner at il Fornaio. Punch bowl social is a fun bar with lots of games from ms Pac-Man to bowling! And great staff. Revolution wine cafe for a perfect outdoor lunch.
I spent my time visiting family,in Sacramento. I did not have time to visit the sights in Sacramento. I did try Mountain Mike's Pizza. It was very good! With the help of google maps, I was able to get around well. I found Sacramento to be fast paced city!
My trip to Sacramento was almost accidental-I was traveling to possibly buy a car from someone and complications made me have to stay longer than expected. I was not looking forward to going and was planning to leave as soon as possible owing to my memories of what the city was like 20 years ago when I made stop-overs on bus trips. I was pleasantly surprised this time. Over the last few decades, Sacramento has undergone something like a renaissance. Yes, there are still homeless about, but the problem is nowhere near as bad as in San Francisco. There is so much to do and see here that I was actually sorry when the time came to leave, and I'm planning to come back one of these days just to see all the things I missed this time. You can spend hours just exploring the Capitol grounds (just the grounds, not the building itself) and not see everything.
I was driving from Portland to Phoenix and in a hurry to check in, get sleep and after I checked in, I couldn't wait to hurry and leave. The restaurant there was Indian food and they were out of chicken...? Gave me a terrible stomach ache. I wouldn't recommend it.
This hotel is filthy, toilet bowl running continuously. The toilet cover was not cleaned and sanitized. It had stain and hair . The shower curtain was so awful smelling and dirty that I could pass out. We did not take showers for 3 days due to unsanitary and filthy 2 Bedroom 430 sq ft room condition. The phone was not working. Carpet was dilapidated and stains all over. Everything smells like weeds. The room was not sanitized. No welcome water bottle. Fridge was not cold enough. Pillow cases had molds and hairs in every single one of them. It was an ordeal and nightmare. We were originally booked for 3 nights and on the first night, I wanted to check out because of disappointments. It is like 0 star hotel. This is terribly unacceptable. If only we can get our money back on this kind of filthy, toilet bowl running ( we are having severe drought) and this is tons of water wasted. I could go on and on. Is there any Health and Safety Inspection agency that regulates cleanliness of hotels ? What happened to Hilton standard?
The location is 10 minutes from Sacramento International Airport. The entrance to I-5, the road to the airport, is immediately across the street from the hotel. Much of the breakfast food was out and available before 6:00 am. Even the oatmeal and the waffle maker was hot and ready to go. The two other hot items came out soon after 6:00 am. Despite what I say in the next response, the room seemed overall clean enough.
Downtown Sacramento, Sacramento
This place is seriously the best place and Sacramento to stay! It's an old historical building that was converted into a hostel. It's within walking distance of certain areas even a train. And they always have events for travelers. The room is quiet in the sitting and hanging out areas are quiet and the kitchen was spotless and very well organized!
I love everything about this hotel!! Customer service was the best! Every staff during my stay was very friendly and helpful. There was plenty of parking and the breakfast was good. Of all hotels I’ve booked in Sacramento, this is the best. I will be booking here more when I travel to Sacramento. Peace and quiet.
We had been in a $200 night Comfort Suites in Marysville for 3 nights and it was heavenly to stay at such a new, clean well appointed hotel near the Sacramento Airport. It was very clean, new feeling and great amenities like the bar. We didn't eat but the food looked very good.
The breakfast was good with good coffee in the breakfast room and the hotel room. The location just off the freeway is convenient for going downtown or out to the Regal 16 cinema in the mall on Truxel Road. It is also beside the river with a path for walking or cycling.
It was my first time staying and it was a beautiful view to enjoy the city. The employees were great and the room was enormous. It felt like staying at a house for the great price of cheaper hotels. I’m definitely going to return for all my stays in the city
Excellent stay for business trips. Spacious modern looking clean rooms, great location with access to lots of great food, coffee and most Sacramento sights in walking distance. Plus EV charger in the garage under the hotel.
Really helpful staff. historic vessel. Great atmosphere on board. Breakfast included in a lovely dining area. Clean room. Great air con !!! Smooth well run valet parking. Location good for Old Sacramento.
