The Hotel was fine. Good Parking, nice amendities. The surrounding area is another story. Homeless, drug addicts and bums surround this area. The McDonalds, next to the hotel had the door blocked by someone in a sleeping bag going through drug withdrawals. Not McDonald's or the hotels fault. I use to live in Sacramento and it has gone downhill fast. Like many other mismanaged cities in California it needs adults to step in and manage it. McDonald's had called police a half dozen times to clear out the riff raff with no response. Tents on the on ramps of the freeways with all sorts of nefarious activity going on. However this is not unique to this area of Sacramento and it's a disgrace. All that said, if I return to Sacramento I would stay at this Hotel again. The Hotel was clean and responsive and the lack of serious leaders of the city is not any businesses fault. I have come to expect this lack of respect for the rights of functional taxpayers as typical... Sac is simply another , formerly nice city that has been destroyed.
The success of California as a magnet for business, work, etc., has caused the state to boom and as its capital, the city has used the treasury clogged with cash to magnificently beautify itself. Culture, museums, parks, Old Town, Gold Rush heritage, etc. Two years into the pandemic it's hard to say just how it will emerge, but the streets are CLEAN, excellent restaurants and cafes abound. Hmmm, I did want but couldn't find any ice cream parlors near where we walked, however! There's also a trolley that looks modern. If you drive in, there are acres and floors of parking lots and garages, but the great surrounding freeway network should also force you to plan how you find your offramps --or you'll be halfway to Reno or looped back to where you came from.
Sacramento is a great place. The hotel was terrible. First room given had no towels , no toilet paper and no working TV. So they gave us another room which was fine but ran out of toilet paper, towels and could never get room cleaned or bedding changed. So I told them just give me linen and I would do it myself. I purchased toliet paper than the next day they gave me 5 rolls. I will ever stay their again. The only thing good was the location and bed. Not worth the $582 for 6 day we stayed.
The Crocker art museum is the crown jewel of Sacramento. Best espresso was at Roots. Dinomite Italian dinner at il Fornaio. Punch bowl social is a fun bar with lots of games from ms Pac-Man to bowling! And great staff. Revolution wine cafe for a perfect outdoor lunch.
I spent my time visiting family,in Sacramento. I did not have time to visit the sights in Sacramento. I did try Mountain Mike's Pizza. It was very good! With the help of google maps, I was able to get around well. I found Sacramento to be fast paced city!
My trip to Sacramento was almost accidental-I was traveling to possibly buy a car from someone and complications made me have to stay longer than expected. I was not looking forward to going and was planning to leave as soon as possible owing to my memories of what the city was like 20 years ago when I made stop-overs on bus trips. I was pleasantly surprised this time. Over the last few decades, Sacramento has undergone something like a renaissance. Yes, there are still homeless about, but the problem is nowhere near as bad as in San Francisco. There is so much to do and see here that I was actually sorry when the time came to leave, and I'm planning to come back one of these days just to see all the things I missed this time. You can spend hours just exploring the Capitol grounds (just the grounds, not the building itself) and not see everything.
Honestly they could use better signage to let you know how to get to the hotel because it is very secluded. Also I thought when we pulled in & I saw the freeway right next to the parking lot that it would be so noisy all night but it wasn’t. The hotel is set up like an apartment complex almost & everything was super clean, comfortable & the staff were so helpful & kind. Honestly one of my best stays out of town. When I come back to Sacramento I will definitely book here again.
The location was fantastic. When you exit the side entrance, you can go right through an underpass walkway to Old Sacramento. Or you can go left directly to the Downtown Commons area and the Golden1 Arena. Staff was friendly, and I felt safe walking around because it's such a busy area. Tons of scooters to zoom around on, and lots of food and beverage options nearby. The rate was the cheapest I could find, and the hotel was as expected. Definitely clean and maintained.
The breakfast was great, and the bed were very comfortable. Rooms were very nice sized. Lots of space when traveling with kids. We had a small outdoor patio that was nice in the evenings. The pool and hot tub we're clean and heated and we were able to enjoy them. The location was great, easy to get to downtown and many different attractions in Sacramento.
It was fine for the price. Arco and Shell right next to and across from the hotel, so sundries were cheaper and accessible. Hot breakfast until 9am and coffee/water available all day. Staff nice. Rooms looked clean. Air and heat both worked and there was a nice scent when they came on.
The hotel is located in a central area, close to some shops and the Capitol park, but a bit aside from restaurant-area. It’s a good value for its money, but don’t have any overexpectations. In my room I had basic things: clean bed linen, microwave and fridge, renovated and clean bathroom.
Clean, renovated rooms with great beds. The hotel is set away from the freeway and our room at the end of the hall was quiet so we slept well. They have a good variety of foods with some healthy choices for breakfast. You'll need a car or good bike to explore outside the hotel.
A lovely hotel perfectly located for our trip to Sacramento. The staff are friendly, kind and attentive. Our room was lovely for 7 nights and we enjoyed walking into old town which is only 3 minutes away.
We were staying in Sacramento for a music festival. This hotel was very close to the venue without being too pricey. Our room was also very nice, and the staff was great.
Sacramento
the hotel doesn’t look nothing like on the photos also i saw roaches running on the bathroom floor. never to stay here again.
In Sacramento CA, they were the cheaper place and had rooms available at short notice. Staff seemed pretty friendly.
Hotel was nice and clean comfortable. Staff friendly. Good breakfasts. Handy to get to Old Sacramento which we like.
Downtown Sacramento, Sacramento
No breakfast there and it was in a very shady area of Sacramento. It was close to the highway so that was useful.
Access to the area behind the hotel was great
If you want to experience an out of the ordinary stay this is the place to go! All the place is well put together for being an old boat from 1920. I booked this place to surprise my husband on his birthday, he loves antiques and he totally enjoyed this place, with a great view of the river hearing all the geese and birds. We stayed in a Deluxe double room which was very spacious, beautiful, warm and cozy.
The rooms were incredibly spacious and clean. The staff were extremely accomodating and friendly, even when we arrived earlier than the listed check out time, staff let us store our bags and check in earlier.
Sacramento
