Nice quiet place to stay. Friendly Islanders. Sea shells not as ample as implied on internet. Beautiful beach. Easy to access. Do not like the seaweed! Water is pretty, waves were pleasant. Gramma Dots Restaurant and Sanibel Grill good places to eat.

An island in recovery from hurricane Ian but so welcoming and beauty every where u look weather in the flowers, water, shelling, sea life, bird watching, biking or visiting the shops!! Sanibel is still a great place to vacation. Although it is heartbreaking to see all the damage from the hurricane, it's still a great option. There was nothing at all wrong with the facility; it was just not the cottage like facility we had patronized for the previous 27 years. Our “resort” was the Castaways. Hurricane Ian removed that completely from existence. Sanibel island Beach Resort is a hotel with direct access to the beach.

Hotel has direct access to the beach with sun loungers and parasols available which was a great plus for us. Our condo was clean and spacious, with a balcony and mosquito net so we could enjoy the evening outside with no insects.
