Beautiful views, quiet neighborhood. Nice layout of the house. Loved the extras provided, such as the coffee and the space heaters. Well stocked kitchen and laundry room. Best part was the yard for my pooch, a big plus and the reason we chose this place.

It was very convenient for our trip. The scenery is gorgeous. There are restaurants, gas stations, a small grocery store w/ fishing supplies (licenses) very close by. The friendly welcome when we arrived, was pleasant! Beautiful wildlife all around!

I really did not have the time to go into South Fork and see...

I really did not have the time to go into South Fork and see what the town was about. We went up there for a family thing at Treasure Falls in Pagosa Springs. It was for the 1 yr anniversary of our mothers passing. Please clean the grills so others will be able to use them. Also wash the windows. The view is beautiful and the spots on the windows bring the view down.

The Pizza Tap room eating place was very good.

The Pizza Tap room eating place was very good. Tiny Timbers spa was awesome. My friend and I got massages while we were there, definitely recommend! Getting around south fork was similar to our small town we come from. Super laid back and feels like home!

This is a quiet little town surrounded by mountains.

This is a quiet little town surrounded by mountains. A lot of serenity & quietness, very relaxing. There was a pizza place across the street from Rainbow that was awesome & had very friendly service. They were the only place open at 7 pm. The restaurants close too early and some businesses were not open on Sunday.

Filthy floors, bathroom and microwave.

Filthy floors, bathroom and microwave. Railing on porch that was disengaged from porch floor could have caused SERIOUS injury if someone had leaned on it. A person would fall 4 feet and into gravel and a large log. No paper towels, hair dryer or bar soap. Fans that were provided were caked with dirt and dust.

A relaxed and friendly town. Judith at the visitor center was unbelievably kind and helpful as well as Ezekiel the manager of the rainbow lodge. They went above and beyond in every way. I will definitely be back!

South Fork is a small mountain town but has the essentials...

South Fork is a small mountain town but has the essentials covered. It is a gate way to exploring the San Juan and Rio Grande forest. The best thing I like about it is the access to Wolf Creek Ski resort. It's only a twenty minute drive and the highway rarely close for avalanche mitigation.

Loved the overall vibe: hip and modern. The room was also very comfortable. The facilities were great. Lobby had a fireplace with games, there was a lobby bar and darts, shuffleboard. There was also a courtyard with fire pits and complimentary s’mores kits. A fun atmosphere. Also want to shout out the hotel’s environmentally friendly reusable coffee and water cups in the room.

The location was good and room was clean. The room had an older rustic feel to it. Beds were reasonably comfortable. Staff was courteous and made themselves available if we needed anything. There was a fridge and microwave. There is a grocery store nearby which closes at 8 p.m.

We loved the location of Spruce Lodge. It's on the main road through town but we didn't notice any road noise and ear plugs are provided just in case. The room was clean, with snacks and a Keurig provided. The managers were very quick to respond to a couple of questions I had.

If you are traveling to South Fork, this is the place to stay. It's a lovely cabin located right on the river. There's just nothing like the sound of a rushing river to enhance your stay!
