The non smoking room smelled horribly of cigarette smoke. The tv remotes didn’t work and staff refused to guide me by not returning a phone call from the desk. The “manager” in the am was making out with her boyfriend in a chair in the lobby when I went to the desk to address the issues of my check in the night before. Great location, feels like you are in a quiet town when not traveling the highways. There are so many good places to eat, from familiar chains to local eats, I only wish I had more time to try more local spots out. The room was a mess, and was told I couldn’t change my room even though there were plenty. The room: no bed spread, gum underneath the bed, the floor wasn’t swept, the towels were dirty, the showers had dirt and the soap from previous person, the tv had no cable and 4 channels. The clerk told me that if I checked out late it was $20 ( check out is at 11am, but if I stayed then I’ll be charged and the late checkout is at 11:10 am.)
