The gal that was Working at the front desk went above and beyond for us. I didn’t get her nine, but she was absolutely wonderful!’

The room/apartment/kitchenette was very clean and had everything we needed. Staff was super helpful. It was a short walk to the river and downtown - charming. Perrot State Park, the nature refuge and the Little Bluffs were close and beautiful!! Will stay there again. The fall colors were spectacular but I think any season would be great.

Saw lock and dam #7 with a long barge going through, was interesting because they had to separate it to get it in the lock. Had dinner at Nosh which had good drinks and lots of choices for tasty food. We were interested in finding more in Winona, but we were passing through. Next time Winona is our destination, it is already booked.

Winona is my hometown so my opinion is biased, I see it through a lens of loving nostalgia. The people are wonderful, warm and friendly. Its natural beauty is its strongest attribute. The Marine Art Museum is world class.

The best place in Winona is the lake, coffee shop Mugby Junction and a restaurant called Sapori di Sicilya. I had to walk around everywhere as I didn’t have my own vehicle however you can hire the e bikes to move around.

Winona is a nice town where I've been several times before over the years. If you enjoy wildlife and river views, go across the river and south about 5 miles to Trempealeau Wildlife Management Area. There is a great patio view a view along the river and many back roads to drive and seek wildlife. Saw some bald eagles, Kingfisher, deer on this particular short visit.

Lovely for outdoor and walking enthusiasts.

Lovely for outdoor and walking enthusiasts. There is hiking (check out Sugar Loaf Bluff) and great walking/biking/kayaking/fishing at Lake Winona. Plenty of places to eat, both local and chains. Great sidewalks and very walkable. Lots of beautiful views along the river too.

We especially liked the yard and the rooms. The surroundings were quiet and we felt at home. Breakfast was great and we liked the way we ate with other guests together on a long table. It was great to talk to them and have interesting conversations. Everything was clean and nice and check-in was easy. Although we didn't get to meet the owners, the cook gave us recommendations for Winona and helped us out with questions.

The location is completely perfect for the Shakespeare festival; the theater is only few minutes' walk away. We drove a long way to Winona and weren't sure when we'd arrive, so the contact-free check-in was really convenient. The breakfast was RIDICULOUSLY GOOD.
