The apartment came fully equipped which made it easy for the 3 nights. We enjoyed the view. The room were spacious and very neat. There was complimentary tp and alcohol (we don't drink though). I really liked the area with the 2 sliding doors. Was a nice place to relax and have a coffee or chill and play games. Would highly recommend and return when im back in Gansbaai!

    Fantastic view, comfortable & clean. Friendly and helpful hosts, Lesley & Tim. Great to walk on walkway along coast and other paths down to the rocks. Had some good meals at JT's kitchen in Gans bay and The Great white House in Klein bay. Able to chill and relax.

    A very quiet and safe residential neighbourhood, and a more desirable part of the larger busy area of Gansbaai. Very little in de Kelders itself in the way of eateries, bars, shops - the best restaurant being JT's Kitchen just round the corner. Supermarkets, petrol stations, fast food and restaurants etc are in the centre of Gansbaai -a short drive away. We specifically needed to be in de Kelders for personal family reasons, but probably wouldn't normally choose it as a base for a holiday. On the other hand, for peace and quiet it's the better place to be.

    It is a lovely peaceful coastal town with the most beautiful Suzi restaurant at the harbor. best Samon roses ever. The beaches are awesome with lovely shells to collect including perlemoen shells. The big hole is a little walk to reach but there are the most refreshing waterfalls along the way. De Kelder's is very close to gans baai where you can view the fisherman returning after their catch and in-between adore the stingray that swim around the harbor. There is also the 100 year old oak tree that is absolutely awesome to behold.

    It was very homey and comfortable.

    It was very homey and comfortable. They even provided for loadshedding. The lights and wifi was on during loadshedding. It was very relaxing the smell off the ocean and the view of the mountains was a perfect combination. It's just the shops a bit far and we struggled with delivery services but that's minor. Will definitely recommend 13 on Eiland

    We loved having the deck and amazing views over the bay and whales right in front of the house. Even when the weather was bad we could sit and enjoy the view. We were recommended two excellent restaurants, the Blue Goose and the Buitesteen Pub nearby. We also enjoyed Coffee-on the Rocks which is a famous coffee shop on Cliff Road. We had superb walks all along the coast, accessible from the house. Also two 4x4 routes in the Walker bay nature reserve. The Klipgat Cave is very close to de Kelders and very accessible, free if you have a wild card. It was a wonderful stay with so much to do and enjoy .. would like to visit again

    On Route there is lots of Roadworks thus causing delays in the way. De Kelders is a small Dorpie. It's clean and safe. We attended an evening Wedding Reception on a Private Estate in Hermanus and needed a place to stay after the Late night function. It's a pity that we couldn't find the time to explore the area. The upstairs Terrace has an indoor braai and seating to enjoy the Panoramic View of the Ocean and would have been a perfect opportunity to do Whale Watching.

    We really loved the place! And would always come back again. De Kelders is a quiet little town, that is perfect for whale watching. For sunset we sat on the rocks and watched the whales. The accommodation is amazing. We had everything we needed and felt so comfortable. We could see the sunset from the terrace and see the ocean. The host and his little dog were so lovely. He gave us a lot of suggestions on what to do in the area and where to eat. We just can recommend this accommodation!

    Our hosts were super sweet & helpful. Everything is easy to use, directions for lock up super clear. The view is just gorgeous, beds super comfy, a great shower! Microwave and fridge is a plus! Loved the safe car parking. They were also super accommodating with our check in arrangements. All in all great. Definitely staying again for my next work trip to De Kelders. Thank you!

    Carol and Don are perfect hosts and the room was perfect for us. We could see the whales from the balcony! The breakfast was delicious and the view is breathtaking. We're sad to leave, had great time in De Kelders watching the whales so close to the shore, and Eirene place was just perfect. Thank you Don and Carol.

    Location is fantastic, you can literally smell the sea. The walks along the beach in De Kelders are well maintained. The house is well equipped, which makes a big difference to someone coming in from out of town.
