We had a decent stay. The hotel staff were kind, especially the team at the dinner area, who were quite friendly. The food menu had limited options, but it tasted good. It was a great location for us because of its connecting roads. There were lots of greens surrounding us with a small kids' garden play area.

We enjoyed the stay so much! It was Sunday evening we arrived, and everything was prepared so well for us including how we can arrange the rest of the trip. A best experience we have ever had.

"We had a wonderful time in George, Eastern Cape. The town’s stunning natural landscapes, from lush forests to beautiful beaches in Victoria Bay, made every day a delight. The pleasant climate and friendly locals added to the charm, and we enjoyed exploring the Strawberry farm - a little on the expensive side. Whether relaxing or seeking adventure, George offered the perfect balance for a memorable getaway."

George is a charming city with a small town feel.
George is a charming city with a small town feel. Surrounded by the beauty of the Outeniqua mountains, George offers great outdoor activities as well as having the needed town conveniences. I always find it a restful place to visit and stay.
I love the local Panarottis outlet for delicious pizza to the choice and variety of the SuperSpar located in Heatherlands. George is easy to get around with a car. For bigger shopping trips, the Garden Route Mall is great.

The property and accommodation was perfect.
The property and accommodation was perfect. It was just as what was advertised. The breakfast was well presented and good. The staff was very friendly and polite. If there was a negative it would be the toilet seat that needs replacing and also to ensure that all toiletry containers are full before guests arrive. Also there was no hand soap for the hand basin. Other than that we had a good stay.

George is a beautiful place with gorgeous picturesque areas but unfortunately I couldn't visit as I I was only passing through only stayed for one night. The location of this hotel is conveniently across the mall where you can go shopping have lunch or dinner. The lady at the reception also told us of other best restaurants we can visit in town and we found the best for our dinner their food was amazing 👏

Pathetic service, an absolute lie (4-star).
Pathetic service, an absolute lie (4-star). Will never ever visit this hotel again, and will make sure to advise others accordingly. In fact, will address this on 'Hello Peter' website to inform the rest of the world!!! Will also review on Booking.com
Shower leaking into the passage and bedroom. Basin running very slowly. Towels more than 10 years old, tattered at the ends and very thin. Toiletries not replenished at all. Uncountable amount of dirty stains on the carpet floor throughout the room, absolutely disgusting. TV loses signal all the time. WiFi signal is very poor. Kettle physically broken. What a disaster... definitely not a 4-star hotel, should be investigated for false advertising.
Manager not really perturbed by the complaints and doesn't really appear to be concerned by the ridiculous condition of the room, because the hotel is apparently "fully booked".
I've been to the Garden Route more that 15 years in a row and by far my worst experience!!
Everything else was excellent - loved the stoep where we sat every morning with coffee and evenings with nice glass of wine. Lovely little garden. Never had loadshedding, because they have a backup generator. Wifi was fast. Loved the washing machine and tumble drier - really is a home away from home - it had everything we needed. Location was also excellent - traffic in George can get very congested - it was easy to get around town.
The rooms were quite well appointed and the hotel well maintained. The staff was great and very helpful. Great variety at breakfast and the food was delicious.
There’s a free shuttle to take you to and from the golf club.

I was on route to my accomodation in Plett and booked in George for two days. In hindsight I should have booked at a better accomodation in George and will never recommend the Town Lodge.
the rooms were clean. Food at the hotel was great value and tasted great. the staff was outstanding and very polite (that alone made this venue an easy recommendation)
