I can only recommend VillaChad Guesthouse that is located in the little town Kleinmond. This town is on a beautiful Route R44 and also very close to Hermanus. So instead of sleeping in Hermanus, I would rather recommend staying in this VillaChad Gesthouse. This is an amazing property with lots of African charm and character in the rooms and in the living room. I also liked the quiet garden where everyone can relax and enjoy the moment, plus eat delecious breakfest and/or ordered dinner. The Owners are super friendly and helpful and they do everything to make your stay comportable. Thank you so much for that! There are two beaches in this town, some walking path along the shore and 15 min by car there is a beach with penguins colony. All in all, this property should not be missed, whether you are about to visit Hermanus or drive along the Route 44.

    Kleinmond is a fantastic holiday destination to rest and explore the beauty of nature. The combination of sea, lagoon, mountains and fynbos as well as many pathways along the coast with longer hiking trails make Kleinmond a true gem of nature. Lovely coffee shops, restaurants and small shops make this coastal town very special. There are many activities for families - kayaking, hiking, swimming etc. Superb views and very well connected to nature.

    It was a lovely little town.

    It was a lovely little town. The town is in close proximity to many tourist destinations, but is much more affordable. Fair warning, most places are closed around 16:00/17:00, and the town becomes a bit of a ghost town. Locals are very friendly. The town is very safe and you can walk around without any problems.

    I liked the hotel we stayed at Arabella and lovely wine tasting at Benquala Cove,,,, Arabella and Benquala Cove can arrange boat trips for guests to do wine tasting,,, keep the guests safe and add to their memorable experience

    Kleinmond is a must visit!

    Kleinmond is a must visit! It should be on the itenerary of every tourguide. Lovely walkways...beautiful scenery, friendly people. Lots of birds and fynbos. Harbour is lovely. Main beach is a dream. Restaurants are good. Lovely get away from city hustle

    The people are friendly and the area is relatively safe. The walking is lovely with both beach and mountain to choose from. Lovely, well marked hiking routes on the mountain with fabulous views of the bay and natural fynbos

    We were introduced to a lovely cafe/beach front restaurant. Sandown Blue. Great view of the river and the beach. Nice selection of food. Hake one day in the evening and Chicken Burger for lunch. Great selection of wines.

    The accomodation was amazing. It is a great location in Kleinmond directly at the Waterfront. We enjoyed the view over the ocean so much. We're the house is located it was very quiet. Not many people were walking by, so it is a great stay to rest. Close by you can start a nice walk through the cliffs by the Waterfront and there are some very nice shops, coffeeshops, restaurants and bakeries close by. The house itself is lovely and very clean. It has everything you would want and need even a great space for a Braai.

    I had the most beautiful time of my trip to WC at Villachad Guesthouse ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Luise and Ernie are such helpful and lovable people that made me feel at home from the moment I stepped into their little dinges. The house and the garden is such a gem and I was even invited to my first Braai ever. Luise also invited me to take her set of clubs and I could spoil myself on the picturesque Kleinmond Golf course just around the corner. Dankie!!!

    Arabella Hotel has the most magnificent pool and a fantastic breakfast buffet selection. The rooms are large with a lovely bathroom, including big shower and bath. Views overlooking golf course are gorgeous
