I would put La Casa Del Mono as a definitive must stay for Colombia! If your trip isn’t already including Minca, then make a detour and spent at least a couple of nights here. Beautiful and modern cabin with an amazing location granting the best sunset views of the valley stretching all the way to Santa Marta. The host was fantastic and spoke perfectly English, we got tons of tips for the surrounding area that really helped us get the most out of the trip.

It's a fantastic place to stay in Minca. The house is clean and well-equipped with big rooms including a laundry. The location is perfect as it's just on the edge of the small town so a bit quieter but still close to everything. Morgan is a super friendly guy, interesting to chat with, and very attentive to anything you might need.

A beautiful place to stay! Theo was a great host, helping us with the information to get to the property (which can be tricky) and then having someone meet us once there. We were able to access the property with a SUV but would definitely recommend a 4x4 if driving up. The location was stunning and we were able to see so many birds from our accommodation- the highlight was a toucan that landed in the tree in front of the balcony!

A simple but cute mother-in-law suite, newer construction with pretty details. Very grateful for the coffee in the morning, water purification pitcher, and attentive owner who lives on property. By road it seems far, but it’s a pretty and short walk (5-10 minutes with a kid) to town, over a picturesque river/swimming hole. Def worth having lunch there at Doña Ana’s. (Photo of swimming hole)

Super nice place, need 4x4 truck to take you up the mountain. There are Mosquitos/bugs in warm weather. Everything fell into place it was amazing. If you are adventurous this trip is super amazing!

    Beautiful spot in the heights of Minca, with beautiful views of the green forest and brilliant sunsets and sunrises. Super snug and cozy without being too small. Working kitchen with good cooking equipment and kept clean. Nice gas barbecue on the balcony too. Be aware, this lovely cabin is and hour drive from Minca, way up high and very secluded. So make sure to bring enough food, water and drinks to last you, as each trip into town and back can add up costs. Approx 150000cop per journey in a 4x4

    Everything was great from start to finish. It's an amazing location outside of Minca which is already in the middle of nature. Stunning views, beautiful sounds if nature around you, banana trees and super nice people. The cabins/bungalows are very comfortable and nicely decorated. There are a lot of areas to relax and enjoy a great time away from the big city life. Hammocks, nets, fireplace etc. This is a magical place.
