The upstairs room, a combination of sitting room and library, was just lovely and the stove relatively easy to operate. Our family cat accompanied us and she thought it was marvellous. The kitchen was larger than it appeared in the photos which meant plenty of space for our family meals together. The heating system is great, in fact we turned all the radiators right down and were still comfortably warm. The hosts were very helpful when we realised that we had left some items behind and our daughter (who lives nearby) was able to call round and pick them up before the next guests arrived.

This place is heaven. If you want genuine peace and quiet miles from anywhere, and a bit of luxury, this is it. The house is beautiful, clean, spacious and very comfortable. They have thought of everything. Fiona and Colin are really friendly and very knowledgeable about the house and the area. Very handy for exploring Kielder and the beautiful Borders, and for stocking up on essentials at Hawick. Wifi available at the house and smart tv which was great in the evenings. Oh and there's a train in the garden! Loved our stay.
