Felt at home immediately upon arrival. The staff were super friendly, offered us fresh juice and immediately made a dinner reservation for us for that night. The central courtyard is relaxing and a great space to hang out. Rooms were nicely decorated. Very quiet at night. Goo location close to everything.

The staff was incredibly helpful, especially Helvio who helped us plan our stay and arrange all reservations. The hotel is perfectly located, very clean, great breakfast and bedrooms. We’d surely come back!

I have no words to describe how much I loved this place. I felt instantly at home and I could have stayed for a whole month without getting bored. It’s incredibly comfortable, clean and well located. The food is delicious. The owner helped us plan our days with amazing tips and the animals just wanted to cuddle whenever given a chance. I have to come back!

The family running the hotel were so wonderful- they were smiley and helpful, helping us to book taxis, giving us advice about hikes & transport. When accommodation at our next place didn't work out they happily allowed us to stay another 2 nights. The views over the mountains, tropical plants & coast are breathtaking, and the inner garden courtyard where the rooms face is full of banana & breadfruit trees as well as tropical flowers. The breakfast is big & varied day by day- the view from the breakfast roof terrace room is stunning. They gave us tinfoil to take the sandwiches we had made from breakfast on our hike with us.

I have stayed here twice and really enjoyed it. The views from the public terrace of Sao Filipe are stunning. I stayed in the luxury room 10 two nights and it was so beautiful with a very high ceiling, a full two door window that opens to purple bougainvillea and the same gorgeous view as the terrace. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have tried in my life, firm but still soft. The workers are nice and helpful if you need any help planning a trip to the volcano, etc. The owner is generous and kind and the atmosphere among the staff is comfortable. Breakfast is a fancy version of a typical Cabo Verde breakfast: white bread, boiled eggs, guava jelly, Fogo traditional cheese, papaya, etc. The location is in the heart of Sao Filipe and walking distance to all the restaurants and the black beach.
