It's 15 to 20 minutes away by taxi from Santos Dummont airport, blocks away from Copacabana beach, another 15 minutes by taxi from Ipanema, and within walking distance of several banks, bars, restaurants, pizza shops, and bakeries. What else could you ask for? Oh, how about stepping out onto your balcony and getting a glimpse of Christ the Redeemer atop Corcovado Mountain? Yep. You can sit out there at night and enjoy Rio's most famous landmark, all lit up, right from the comfort of the apartment. I can't say enough about this view. My family was quite impressed. The apartment also overlooks two of Rio's beautiful mountains. It's truly breathtaking. The building is also located in a very safe, more upscale neighborhood. I mean, it's Copacabana. My family (which includes 2 daughters, aged 15 and 10), walked to the famous sidewalks on Copacabana beach every night to take in the city at dusk and check out the many trinkets sold by street vendors that set up shop there in the evening. We obviously used good judgment, as you should in every large city, by not having valuables displayed in plain sight, but we felt completely comfortable walking to the beach from the apartment as well as along the beach at night, sometimes even taking out our cell phones to snap a few photos. Let's talk about the apartment for a minute. Wow. Well furnished, clean, comfortable, and spacious (we were a party of 6). The owners thought of everything to make your stay extremely convenient and relaxing. There were outlets everywhere with adapters to accommodate American-style electronics. The kitchen was stocked with plates, silverware, a microwave, and oven.”

“This apartment is centrally located to everything! A 2 minute walk to the metro station gets you to all the tourist attractions and beaches in no time. You can also just walk a few blocks to Copacabana beach. There is shopping all around from groceries across the street to restaurants and souvenir shops a block or 2 away. The apartment was very clean with air conditioning and excellent wifi. I was able to Skype with family and friends with no connection issues at all. There was a full size refrigerator, microwave, and small gas stove/oven, along with pots, pans, plates, glasses, and utenails so that I didn't always have to eat out and could make some meals myself. The owners are super friendly and understanding. They are willing to help you with anything you may need that is within their power to do. Overall this is a great value for the money!”

Sonia speaks fluent English which was very important for us as not myself, not my mum not my aunty speak local languages.Sonia gave us tips about everything taxi fares, best places to eat, best time and placed to travel etc. Sonia even lent us outfits for carnival!!!!! Location of accommodation is brilliant. We walked to copacobana and ipanema beaches daily and it took less than 10 mins. Grocery shop is just around the corner.”

There are 2 elevators but only 1 was working. The beds were comfortable.”
