I was travelling alone and on a budget so the things which mattered to me most were safety (in the accommodation and the surrounding area) and being able to make my own meals. It was perfect for that.

Our stay in Cologne was great. We enjoyed our walk to town and visiting the area. Room was clean and comfortable. The room was facing the street but the windows kept the noise out.
