Location is great. Lots of travel books talk about the old town being dangerous. I disagree. Felt overall as safe as any large city and safer than many. The property is expertly detailed. The staff is meticulous. Nelson the concierge will make you feel like you are the only guest he has no matter how busy he is.

Great location in the old city and very kind staff. The room was a good size and the interior of the historic building is exceptional. Very pleased!

All the rooms and facilities were clean, the shared bedroom was actually pretty nice and had privacy. Staff were really helpful and also clear about the rules of the hostel. The place at night is peaceful, perfect to have rest but also to read, work or just hang out in common areas.

Excellent location and Leonardo at the front desk was superb! Thanks to Leonardo’s help we were able to explore the entire historic district of Montevideo.
