This was such a lovely experience. We were lost and the owner and her father came for a two car escort to their wonderful little cottage nearby. Then they showed us the charming, nearby town of Llanes, got us a place to eat and picked us up an hour later. The actual house was perfect---quiet, a perfect place to do laundry and hang on a big rack to dry in the Spanish sun. The owner showed up later with red vino, then again with cornbread and goodies for breakfast. The father appeared in the morning with Iberian ham and toast! Just the nicest folks and the nicest place. Road trips are so much fun when you have an experience like this.

We loved the pool, the small size of the hotel and that it was run by a family. It was such a beautiful tranquil place to stay. Views from the pool were stunning. Breakfast was delicious - we loved the homemade donuts. Great coffee as well. Everyone was friendly and the family who own it were very welcoming even though we don't speak any Spanish they always tried their best to help us and had lots of recommendations on where to visit. There is an option to have an evening meal there if you don't want to go out. There are two good restaurants nearby that are walkable. I thought it was wonderful and felt very at home there. Was sad to leave.
