The property features inner courtyard views and is 200 metres from World of Beatrix Potter and 39 km from Derwentwater Lake. Askham Hall is 42 km from the guest house and Muncaster Castle is 42 km away. I did not take breakfast - the room exceeded my expectations. We stayed in the small double room so we could have a terrace - was nice to sit on terrace in the evening/morning. Location was fantastic. Minutes to walk to the lake where you can take boat rides etc. Also many restaurants and pubs close by. Definitely recommend this place!! The staff was extremely nice - I was able to drop off my luggage early and leave it after check-out for 3 hours. Perfect for us!

Overlooking picturesque hills, Meadowcroft Country Guesthouse is a family-run guest house in the tranquil Village of Ings, 2 miles from Windermere. There is free Wi-Fi in the bedrooms.

A delicious breakfast is provided each morning in the chandelier-lit dining room, which has a log-burning stove for the colder months. Full cooked options are served, along with cereals, yoghurts. This was one of our favorite stops on our recent trip. We all agreed, the beds were comfortable, the showers were hot, and the rest of the amenities were great. Elliott was a great host - giving us some advice about our next stop. Breakfast was delicious. With a pub within walking distance we couldn't ask for a better location.

The views from the breakfast room are so good it was once listed in The Times Top 10 Most Scenic Restaurants. An excellent location near to the lake and town centre. The hotel has a lovely garden, is scrupulously clean and extremely comfortable. Pleasant and helpful staff.

The family-run Ambleside Townhouse is situated in Ambleside, 800 metres from Lake Windermere. It offers en suite rooms and a full English breakfast in the morning.

Each stylish room has fresh light décor. Wonderful stay in the heart of Ambleside!

Built as a private house in 1914, the hotel has hosted King George V and other members of the royal family. Many of the rooms and public areas retain elements of Edwardian luxury, including high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows. Was nice but with limited options. Still it was manageable.

There is free parking and spacious rooms with free WiFi and scenic views towards Wansfell. The Staff are so Friendly. The room was a good size at the front. Loved the pool area and outside Jacuzzi which I only just learned was hot!!! Food Amazing. Love Manuel! He rec my haddock brekkie and was perfect. Comfy lounge bar.Booked again for December!!!

The Westbourne is a beautiful guest house set in the peaceful area below Biskey Howe in the Lake District. Bedrooms feature walk-in-shower rooms, luxurious toiletries and large fluffy towels.

High ceilings in this traditional stone-built house give rooms a light, spacious feel. Beds are adorned in Egyptian cotton linen and there are also TVs and free Wi-Fi in rooms. The room is beautiful and the bed is wide and super comfortable. I checked in quite late, and sent the message earlier so the landlord kindly manage to sent the instruction on how to find my room key which I found it very helpful. The room amenities also quite generous with tea and coffee collections and chocolate drinks. Thanks a lot 👍🏽

Our hotel is perfectly situated with views of Lake Windermere, just a short stroll from the bustling village centre of Bowness-on-Windermere and the boats that travel the length of Windermere, making it easy to visit Ambleside, Brockhole, Wray Castle and Lakeside without a car.
