Wonderful family owned. The Caputos are so knowledgeable and helpful. The service was that of a five star hotel and accommodated all of our needs and more!! Highly highly recommend Taverna Del Capitano for location, amazing food and friendly helpful service!!

beautiful hotel. all the staff were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Rooms were cleaned and towels were changed every day. we had a balcony room with a beautiful view of the sea and boats. a great place to have a quiet and relaxing holiday. the beach is stoney so you need flip flops or swimming shoes. you can hire a bed on the beach for €10 for the day and it’s well worth it. Great restaurants and cafes nearby. the resort is a bit out of the way if you want to sightsee, but the bus service is pretty good. There is a direct bus service to Sorrento a few times a day. The bus and train are so cheap, €1.40 from Nerano to Sorrento by bus. would highly recommend this resort. Jennie and her colleagues in the restaurant were so helpful and greeted us every morning like old friends.

The staff in this hotel, treats their guests in the old fashioned way, like hotels should treat their guests. Its a family business and it also feels like everyone really cares about the hotel and therefore cares about the guests. The location is great (right in the center and a grocery store across the street). The rooms in the back have a beautiful view over the sea. Some things do need a little bit of attention, and the price is a little to high compared to what they offer. However, because of the way you are being treated here, there is no other way, then to forgive them for that and I will definitely come back (to see how the renovations turned out). There is a lovely quiet secluded beach (without any facilities) which is more a less an hour hike, but I would not recommend to do this with children (just DON'T its really dangerous) or people that are not fit. Driving to Sorrento or Positano is like 15/20 minutes, but staying in this mountain village is really nicer and more affordable than in Sorrento or Positano, there are some good restaurants (you have to reserve to get a table).

The location is beautiful, it’s secluded and a bit far from the center but they offer free shuttle and leave you right in the center. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good for our taste - eggs, cheese, ham, fresh and tasteful fruit. There was no vegetables but I think that is pretty standard for Italy.
