    The location of the hotel is good. It sits right on the beach but is a good 20 minute walk from the city centre. Staff were very friendly and very helpful. Due to an unexpected turn in the weather, we were advised that our return ferry to Funchal, the following day, was cancelled. So we made the decision to leave that day and so in fact, did not stay in the hotel overnight. Our impressions were, that it was very good value for money. It is not luxurious, by any means but was clean, bright and cheap!

    The hotel is not very modern, it was built in the 60s and it shows. Still some areas have been renovated and it’s a quiet and comfortable place to stay. The location is excellent just some 15 min from the center of the village. The hotel is very clean and the staff are amazing and super nice. Breakfast is well served with lots of variety.

    The hotel has an excellent location on the beautiful beach not far from the city centre. Everything is with a short walking distance. The staff is helpful and rooms are spacy and very clean. After a check out from the hotel we could use hotel amentities (toilet and shower and even towels) and leave our baggage in the hotel as the ship left in the evening. The breakfast had Ilots of choices.
