Glamping Sites in Tromsø

The personnel at the Aera lodging were very welcoming, and wonderful- especially Laurtis and Alex. They went above and beyond and made our stay memorable. They accommodated all our plans and food choices as well as activities. We absolutely loved that our breakfast was delivered to our cabin every morning. The location was the prime reason we chose Aera. The view of the Fjords from our cabin window was breathtaking esp when they’re covered in pink hues during sunrise. The distance from Tromso city lights meant darker skies and better chances to see the Northern lights. There are shuttles from Aera to Tromso twice a day. The sauna was private and super nice. With the beach nearby, we were able to do the polar plunge! The king crab dinner in the teepee was an amazing experience. We also liked the heated floors and how the water quickly gets hot.

If you want to stay somewhere where you are far from the lights of the city, and have a good chance to see the aurora borealis, you should come here. You have to be ready for living in a luxurious tent, but remember it’s still nature and it’s not a hotel room so you don’t have all of the niceties. For me, I liked it better, it added and heightened, into the overall experience of seeing the aurora. Morten is fantastic and is very attentive to anything that you need . If you’re not sure about how something works he explains it very simply. Finally, he made some great recommendations for us on things to do during the day.
