GSH is populated by surfers, Camino de Santiago walkers, and a few oddballs like me. The price is great, €15/night for a dorm bed and included breakfast. Contrary to the booking.com listing, every guest gets continental breakfast. There's a large, free parking lot for cars and motor homes across the road. 0The hostel is staffed by cheerful Workaway volunteers which means a variety of languages are spoken. There's a large common lounge with seating and receptacles in addition to a large outdoor patio with hammocks on the lawn. They offer surf lessons and rentals. It's easy to socialize if you wish. The guest kitchen is very functional but the downstairs stove seemed to have only one properly heating burner.

What a wonderful place! David is the most welcoming person, so friendly and helpful. The house is beautiful, rooms very comfortable and the included breakfast is very tasty. Surfboard rental was available right there, and the location right near the beach can't be beat. Our top floor room had a sea view. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay. Thank you David!

Very friendly staff, Laura gave us suggestions on places to visit around Oviedo. Feels more like a home than a hostel. I stayed in a 6 bed dorm room, but it was quite comfortable.

It was a very nice stop on Camino del Norte though it was a surfers hostel I felt very welcomed as a pilgrim :) Nice people, good vibes. Yoga/sterching class was perfect after a walk!
