I would give much higher rate if: 1- They had a large writing on the wall in the lobby to give you wifi information, also the fact that there is no staff for check-in and we should look at the emails came from booking.com. normally we receive many emails after each booking and they are all the same, so we don't check them, but here they give you all your room and bed information on the booking site. 2- If they had secure lockers to lock our valuables, there is nothing, they expect you to leave all your valuables in your room, that everyone from outside in the street can walk in 3- If they had more hangers in the room and outside of the bunk beds

A friendly property owner/staff who explained everything and gave recommendations. Has been surprised to find ear plugs in a hostel for the first time(didn’t use them because other guests were respectful and quiet). Very clean and the overall space felt artsy. Oh! And a short 3-minute walk from promenade and bus stop in the other direction to Atami station. Plenty of food options and combinis nearby. And most importantly - felt safe as a female solo traveler. Thank you for a great stay.

All hostels in Hakone

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.

The staff were very friendly. The facilities were new and clean. The double room with a private bathroom was huge compared to the pictures on the website. The free breakfast was good as well. The overall atmosphere of the place was wonderful and we felt very safe staying here. We had to book this hostel as a last-minute change of plans and the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

location, breakfast, room, staff Hands down, the best place to stay for a solo traveler if you are planning to stay a night in Hakone. Just a 10 minute walk from the train station. You get your own cabin with a lockable sliding door and a key. So even though it's a hostel, you get your own cubicle with better privacy and safety. There's a restaurant with great affordable food and a lounge to hang out. And for my booking the breakfast was included which was delicious. The staff is very friendly as well.

One of the best hostels I've ever been to - very new, clean and fully equipped. The capsules were surprisingly spacious and even had their own little window and AC. They serve a delicious and rich breakfast. Also the location was great - easy to walk from the station or to reach some onsen, yet quiet.

We have been traveling for 4 months, and this is the best hostel we have stayed at, by far. It’s clean, the beds are of really good quality, it’s nicely located, and the staff does everything they can to help you with whatever you need.
