The place is new, so everything is well-kept and maintained. The bed was clean and comfy, the shared shower and toilette were clean too! Staff were friendly and helpful--I arrived at the hostel around 4 am, and they let me check in early.

I had a fantastic one-night stay before my train to Kandy. The place stands out as one of my favorites. The owner's family was incredibly welcoming, treating me to tea and snacks (and a spontaneous Turkish coffee from a turkish traveler!) in an evening talk session with fellow travelers. Marsha went above and beyond, helping me plan my unplanned trip to Sri Lanka, sharing information on the must-visit, and even checking in on my train ticket. The bed was comfy, facilities were clean, AC was cold, and the WiFi worked flawlessly. Don't forget to chat with the two little kids – they're your unofficial information desk. Highly recommend!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Havelock City Hostel with my friends, and I can honestly say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Upon arrival, the reception staff welcomed us warmly, and their politeness and helpfulness set the tone for the entire stay. The hostel itself is located in a prime area, making it convenient to explore the surroundings, and the cleanliness throughout the entire facility was impressive. The rooms were comfortable, and everything was thoughtfully arranged to ensure a relaxing environment. Overall, our time at Havelock City Hostel was truly amazing. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a wonderful and hassle-free stay. A big thumbs up from me!

The ambiance was amazing. A hostel with a pool, that’s awesome. Great place to stay in the city of Colombo with superb assistance. Yanise is so kind and friendly. You can always count on her. We had only one breakfast out of 6 days stay as we went outside Colombo as well, for 3 days. Nice location and staffs. Will surely book the same hostel if given the chance. Cool room as well by the way. We’re group of six (friends) and they put us together in one room. Cheers.
