Best hostel in Kathmandu hands down. Comfortable dorm, super hospitable and helpful staff, the cafe was great and the cleaning staff done an amazing job keeping the space clean. The donation box is a nice touch for the traveler to let go stuff they no longer meed and for others to find stuff they might need. Sits on the quieter side of the neighborhood but still close to the center of Thamel.

The staff were very friendly. They were always there to help you with anything. If you would like to have a proper hostel experience, you must stay here. The shared dormitory type rooms are best for backpack travellers. It's always interesting to make new friends during your visit to a new place, it's a perfect place to stay in Thamel, Kathmandu.

It’s a very good hostel with good location and good staffs. This hostel is right in the Thamel neighborhood, easy to get to the attractions and very easy to locate in indrive. The staff was also very nice and responsive and they put together a great day trip for me. The rooms and restrooms were clean and the food in the restaurant was very good. Wish I could have stayed here for more days:)

It's my 2nd time in this hostel and I still really appreciate it very much! In 2-3 weeks that I've been out of KTM they made huge and really good changes. This place is getting better and better! Beautiful, comfortable, great location and price and the food has gotten even better than last time 👍

I had an amazing time at Alobar1000! I met the best people and had so much fun. The hostel attracts an open-minded and outgoing crowd so it's very easy to make great connections, especially as a solo traveller—one of the best hostel experiences I have had. The place was very clean, the beds were comfortable and I appreciated the care from the staffs.

The rooms were incredibly spacious and well-maintained, and the staff were exceptionally welcoming and professional, making me feel right at home. It is a lovely hostel in Kathmandu. I had a comfy night with excess to the rooftop evening experience. Mr. Prakash, the manager, is an exceptional person to deal with. He managed my tour to Pokhara, Chitwan, and Lumbini at relatively low fares. I recommend everyone to consider Rest Up Thamel if you are traveling to Kathmandu and searching for an affordable place to stay.

    I stayed 12 days altogether at Flock Hostel, on 3 separate periods through April-May, in a 4 bed, 6 bed and 10 bed ladies dorm. It was like a home away from home, in a great location, very safe, with a dedicated staff, from reception to travel desk, to restaurant, cleaning and general services personnel. Kudos, and keep it up! 👏👏👏
