The staff was very friendly. Everything was done with the traveler in mind, eg. Plugs by the bed, lights by the bed, curtains around the bed, possibility to socialize, amazing kitchen, lots of room everywhere (in terms of hostels), laundry(!!!!), luggage room. Programs every evening. A really excellent place. Plus everything was well maintained. Often in hostels that are a few years old things get broken and are rarely fixed, here everything was being fixed, cleaned, and maintained. The location is excellent.

Looking for a hostel?

Budget travelers know there's no better way to make the most of their trip than by staying at a hostel: Save money for exploring during the day, and swap stories with fellow backpackers in the shared kitchen or bar in the evening. Dorm-style bedrooms with shared bathrooms are standard hostel fare, but private rooms are also available for those willing to pay a little more.

Decent hostel in a good location. What more can you ask for from a hostel? Decent facilities, good staff, and safe bedrooms.

Great hostel in the very center of Philly - but in a quiet back street, so it wasn't noisy. Rooms were nice, comfy beds, each had sockets, a lamp and a shelf, a locker and some hooks. Kitchen was nice too, enough dishes and always clean. It was very social place, people were very friendly, especially on beer nights it was really easy to meet new people. Bonus points for the pool table, free to play. Staff was nice and helpful.

By far the best hostel I stayed in in North America (and also the cheapest, but still better than the expensive other ones). Especially the staff was very friendly and helpful.
