Situated in the women's division of the World Heritage-listed Fremantle Prison, this YHA offers a mix of private and shared rooms with access to free WiFi. Guests can also choose to sleep in the actual prison cells. Comfortable room very quirt in a great location among restaurants and shops. Really cool funky building we wished we had more time to explore. In the room we had a little fridge freezer so we could keep our food cols and bedside lamps. We also had a little outside area with table and chairs to ourselves. Kitchen was big enough for everyone to cook without getting in eachothers way.

Located around 6 km from The Courthouse, the hostel with free WiFi is also 6 km away from Sun Pictures Cinema. The hostel features an outdoor swimming pool, evening entertainment and a shared kitchen. I'm an older traveller and felt welcomed by the owners. Sometimes older backpackers suffer discrimination from staff, but I didn't feel that here.

Ideally situated in the centre of Perth, Hostel G Perth features air-conditioned rooms, a shared lounge, free WiFi and a bar. The property is around 2.3 km from Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre, 2.5 km from WACA and 3.9 km from Optus Stadium. The property is allergy-free and is situated 1.4 km from Perth Concert Hall. Check-in was easy and uncomplicated, the hostel was very clean and looked after. Beds were clean and comfy with extras like bed lights and storage. It is great that they have a bar and some food in the lobby, as well as a pool table and enough room to sit, eat and study or research or even just to relax. Unfortunately one of my room-"mates" was a bit of a pain, slamming doors at 2am, eating his crisps on the bed and waking up half of the room. Security and reception dealt with the situation as well as possible at that time and I got a different room.
