Each pod-style room at Code Hostel Edinburgh has a shower room and you can relax in bright communal areas, too.

The hostel is within 10 minutes' walk of Edinburgh Waverly Railway Station, while Edinburgh Castle and the old town can be reached in around 15 minutes by foot. Code Co-Living The Loft was the best experience I have ever had in a hostel. I stayed in the 6 female pod and I have zero complaints. Everything was clean, the roomates were quiet and friendly, the staff I encountered were super friendly and accomodating and while there was only one toilet for 12 people, it was spatious and super clean all the times I used it.

Mixed and female dormitories have bunk beds and lockers, and guests can make use of laundry services, hairdryers and adaptors. Luggage storage is available at the property. Bicycle storage is available at the High Street Hostel just across the road. In general, it was nice that the environment where young people stayed was nice and that it was right in the middle of the touristic area and that many facilities were accessible. The kitchen was fully equipped but a bit small. The bathroom and toilets were very nice.

Just 50 metres from Edinburgh’s bustling Princes Street, Haystack Hostel is set in a renovated 18th-century Georgian building. It offers (not 24h reception) with free Wi-Fi and a fully equipped shared kitchen. Everything was perfect, staff was helpful. It’s in the best location. Quiet and peaceful, all the places are in walking distance. Room was clean. Beds could have been more confortable but it was all fine. Nothing to worry about shared bathrooms, they were perfectly cleaned. You can even make friends while staying. Fully recommended.
