Service was above any expectations, the hotel is actually operated by the owner family who are very friendly and helpful. Rooms were cousy and well equipped. SPA area clean covenient and not crowded. Everything and everywhere was very clean and well maintained. Food was very good especially dinner. We liked the stay a lot and would easily recommend to anyone wanting to stay in an authentic Austrian hotel.

It is in a good location close to the town centre and with a ski bus stop outside to take you to either three lifts up the mountain. The beds were comfy, showers warm, and breakfast was tasty. We stayed in a 12 person dorm as a group taking the whole room. It wasn’t spacious but worked ok for the 12 of us. The rest of the party had a 4 bed room which was very large with a kitchen attached.
Set in the Ziller Valley, Hotel Neue Post is located in the centre of Mayrhofen. The spa area includes an indoor pool. The Zillertal Congress Europahaus is 100 metres away.

Superbly convenient location for skiing.
Superbly convenient location for skiing. But Mayrhofen is only a 9 minutes' bus ride away, and it is itself directedly connected to the skiing area by two big cable cars, so staying there is a serious, realistic option.

Liked - easy access to lifts with good free car park - very civilised!
Didn't like - Finkenberg is a rather cramped resort on a hill, making it somewhere you may not feel inclined to wander around.

Beautiful small town up in the mountains, sunny and quiet at the bottom of a very big ski domajn and not to far from the glacier Tux.
Shops close very early (latest 18:00), helps you save good money on things you don’t need.
There are a few restaurants along the main road, good food and not very pricey. Reservation may be neccesary in high season. There is also a nice apres ski at the bottom station of the cable car, in the town if you like to party in your ski clothes.
Mayrhofen is a short drive away and roughly 20 km away there is an amazing aqua park well worth visiting (20 eur/adult 10/ kid <15 yo for 3 hrs of various pools and sauna)

The nature surroundings are beautiful and easily accessible...
The nature surroundings are beautiful and easily accessible using cable-ways. One can choose trips (hikes or by a bike) with different difficulty. I can also recommend carefully and interestingly developed nature trail with explanations on the boards (a close Lanersbach area), the glacier over Hintertux, countless combinations of various trips around Hintertux, a waterfall trip, trips between Lanersbach and Vorderlanersbach, and many others. From Pankenjoch, many trips are available if one prefers developed easier paths (usually, many people are there). Restaurants are very good everywhere, namely "-alm" or "-hütte" with various specialties (e.g. yoghurt, strudel). The bus transportation is excellent, some 30 minutes between two buses. Many parking places for cars, if necessary. Interested people can (at some rocky locations) choose also mountaineering with different degrees of difficulty. A larger town is Mayerhofen that is not far and it is also easily reachable by bus (or cable-way from the above mountain top).
Location was great. It was a 10 minute walk to the Finkenberg lift. Or, if you're feeling lazy, a 5 minute walk to the bus stop which then takes you the one stop further up to the same lift. Breakfast was a basic conttnental but more than enough to fuel everyone for the day. The lady who ran the hotel (Maria?) was very helpful and friendly and made us feel at home form the moment we arrived. The hotel was overall excellent value for money and was even better than we expected.
This lovely and quite private hotel is located slightly above Finkenberg. This allows it to showcase a spectacular view on the mountains which surround it. Host Silvia was very friendly and welcoming. We had an opportunity to choose a room, though both options were great. When the weather is good, you also have a chance to have breakfast on a private terrace which is full of sun in the morning. Rooms are stylish, recently renovated and have balconies.
The owners are friendly, the apartment is cozy and spacious, with many storing places. The kitchen has a door, which is very convenient. It is modern and well equipped, the only oven is absent. The bed is comfortable. Parking is good. Quiet location with full privacy. Very close to Finkenberg lift, 10 - 15 minutes drive to others. The ski bus is very close, but we didn't use it. The balcony with a view of mountains.
Nice hotel on quiet location. The hotel is kept in a traditional mountain style. The room are comfortable and generous in size, spotless clean, equipped with comfortable beds. . We have booked HP. The breakfast and the 4 course evening diner were of excellent quality. The items on the buffet are regional products. At 03.00 pm a "Jausen" free snack is offered in the restaurant which includes cold cuts and cakes.
The apartment is very comfortable. The bedrooms are spacious and easily accommodate 3 people, and so is the common area. The view from the living room is lovely. The kitchen worked well and the TV allowed us to watch Netflix. It is a short drive to the Finkenberg gondola, which is the best way to access the Mayrhofen ski area. Also, the hosts are very nice.
Great location (about a minute to the ski bus stop or a four minute walk to Finkenberg station). Enough room for our family; showers, balconies and TV-s in both rooms. Breakfast was excellent and had some variety between the days.
Additional applause to the friendly hosts, who helped use book a restaurant and were very accomodating.
I was really happy with the staff; they took great care of me, making sure I had enough to eat and helped me quickly whenever I asked.
The hotel has a handy place to store skis, lots of parking, big rooms, and a good variety of breakfast foods. Although breakfast started to get a bit monotonous after five days, I still liked it.
Nice, clean room in the quiet town of Finkenburg. The host met us with the keys and offered to help with anything we needed. Nice balcony and a small grocery store very close by (walking distance). Perfect "home base" for our day of hiking. No breakfast but free parking right in front of the hotel. We enjoyed our stay!
Everything was perfect! Food was excellent, the most friendly yet proffesional staff, lovely owners..clean and cosy rooms, wonderfull spa and amazing location! Top top!! We couldn't have chosen a better hotel and for sure we'll come again!
perfect location - 500m from Finkenberger Almbahn, skibus bus stop just in front of the hotel, 15minutes (by car) from Hintertux Gletscher. Room very clean and spacious. Staff very friendly. Perfect half board - delicious 5 course dinner.
Rita and Michael were fantastic hosts - very accommodating, welcoming and helpful. Cosy and quiet guesthouse for us to relax in at the end of the day. Good breakfast selection. Close proximity to the bus stops and the Finkenberg Almbahn.
-close to the Finkenberger Almbahnen
-Cosy traditional House
-Clean
-Very friendly
-comfortable rooms
-tv in every room

-2 bathrooms with shower
-small path down to the bus stop to avoid going over the road
The breakfast was very good with lots of variety and the owners were helpful and friendly. Ski room was convenient for storing ski gear, right next to the departure point for the bus to the Finkenberg gondola.
