Location was great. There is a breakfast room or delivered to your room. We chose the in room option. Food was delicious, hot and reasonably priced.

This is the perfect place for sightseeing! It's filled with rich history and interesting places to visit, such as the cathedral, parks, tram tour, Alexandra Fountain, and gold mine tour. It's a beautiful little town that's perfect for exploring and offers a truly peaceful and relaxing experience.

We went to the Parisian Art Exhibition which was amazing.
We went to the Parisian Art Exhibition which was amazing. The restaurant also had a French menu which was very good. Lovely staff.
The Chinese Dragon gardens & surrounding gardens were beautiful with all the fall leaves coming.
We were there Monday & Tuesday so some of the restaurants we were thinking of going to were closed those days.
The church was also closed those days.
Bendigo is a very relaxed & beautiful historic town.
We probably should have stayed another day to even see more of the nearby areas.
We had breakfast at an amazing organic restaurant that also sells fruit & vegetables. You will find it in Lyttleton Terrace. Lovely young friendly staff & tasty healthy food.

Bendigo has a great art gallery and some fantastic heritage buildings and museums. There are also good food options such as The Dispensary (highly recommend). It is a good base camp for discovering the area to visit other heritage towns.

Plenty of local attractions to see, with lots of period architecture.
Foodies are very well catered for with abundant little restaurants all through the city centre and some amazing menu items.
Two recommendations are the Golden Square Hotel (I ordered Thia Red Duck Curry, which was very nice. But when I saw the Chef's special for the night coming out - Porterhouse Steak and Pot/Glass of wine $28 - I wished I had ordered that instead.
The other one is Sim'r in Hargreaves St, which has some amazing things on the menu and make in-house a range of amazing breads

Borchelli Italian restaurant is great, with excellent meals...
Borchelli Italian restaurant is great, with excellent meals and desserts. Bendigo Art Gallery is worth a visit, with the current Paris: Impressions of Life exhibition. The Hat Shop is also fun, with a huge selection of hats. The Australian Eucalyptus Oil Company has a good selection of products for gifts, plus plenty of shops to suit all tastes.
This hotel is really conveniently located on a main road, with a great pub and an iconic bakery just across the street, easy access into town, tourist tram next door, and supermarket and service station in close proximity. The room was very roomy for our family of three, the bathroom was huge and recently renovated, the windows opened for fresh air which was wonderful, and it was surprisingly quiet which was courtesy of the triple glazing. We appreciated the toaster and tea making facilities.
The staff at Hotel Ernest are exceptionally pleasant and helpful, the rooms were beautifully decorated and kept, and the location was fantastic. Located right next to the Bendigo Art Gallery, Pall Mall and Rosalind park, it was easy to walk anywhere you wanted to see, and there are a multitude of cafes, shops, etc right out the door.
Every part of the stay was lovely, and my partner and I look forward to visiting again in the future.
It is a boutique hotel just out of the main street so perfect for touring and restaurants. We had been upgraded but the extra facilities were not ones we used and the upgrade put us at the top of the stairs. The host was charming and the king bed comfortable. Just across the road was a wine bar for casual dining which was also good. When we checked out, we were allowed to leave the car parked while we explored, a lovely personal touch.
Everything from location, comfortable furnishings & bedding, cleanliness (very high standard) ,styling , breakfast (very thoughtful), toiletries (smelt divine) . Over the last 10 years ( having two boys attend school & be apart of the Bendigo Pioneer’s program) we have stayed at many motels & apartments & Mark & Kate’s Place is definitely ranked high in our top 5.
Excellent location for us. Quiet area and a short walk to gardens, galleries and all that Bendigo has to offer. We put the car in the garage and walked everywhere. The property is well appointed and had everything we needed. The en-suite was spacious and the walk in robes great to keep cases etc out of the bedroom. Great place to relax after being out all day.
The room was clean and comfortable. Location was perfect for exploring Bendigo, we didn’t take the car out of the car park for the 3 days we were there, the centre of town being 10 to 15 minutes walk away. The Lake View hotel is right next door and serves excellent meals. We ate there each evening and enjoyed each meal.
The hotel, the staff and everything included in my stay were a delightful surprise ,
and a complete pleasure for me during my short sojourn in Bendigo.
I will have no hesitation ,in returning to stay at " The Shamrock",
whenever there is a show on,
at the Bendigo Art Gallery!!
The location was a easy drive to the Bendigo, n close to grocery shops, hotels for meals, also fast food.
The air conditioning was great, the shower had HOT water..
Would stay there again
Plus the staff answered questions I asked and were very helpful and polite
For my overnight business trip to Bendigo, the Quality Hotel Lakeside was fantastic! The king bed room in the new building is a modern, large and well appointed room with a comfy bed and great bathroom. I will definitely be staying again.
The breakfast was excellent, the motel was almost opposite the Art Gallery, our reason for visiting Bendigo. The motel suggested we might like to leave our car and collect it after our visit. We appreciated not having to find parking.
The motel is centrally located to Bendigo Central, great restaurants etc. Easy parking and very comfy bed. The spa which lovely. Very comfortable. The unit even had a toaster and cutlery. And a microwave.. Perfect. oh and secure
Best hotel in Bendigo! We always stay here whenever we are in town as the owners are lovely, the rooms have everything you need, we can walk everywhere in Bendigo and the rooms are great value for money! Highly recommend!
Very comfortable, clean and well-maintained room. The staff are very friendly and check in and check out was easy. The air conditioning was great. Definitely my choice of hotel when visiting Bendigo.
this hotel is always our favourite to stay at. We have stayed here 3 times before. The beds at the Bendigo Mercure are the comfiest bed I have ever slept in. The staff are always willing to help you.
Laura is a friendly and welcoming host. The place is full of light, clean, with little touches that make the whole experience wonderful! Very close to main Bendigo highlights.
Highly recommend!!

Room serviced each day. Great meals at pub next door. Location brilliant. 900metres to Ullambra theatre . Very easy walk cbd . Would stay again .
It is very central. Right in the middle school of Bendigo. 10 minutes walk from the station or 2 mins in a cab. Close to supermarkets and restaurants.
The room was clean and bed comfortable
