We were surprised there was no visitor information centre. There is not really much to do at Batemans Bay unless you like fishing. Good fish and chip shops but little else unless you went to one of the big clubs.

A lovely area to stay with lots of beautiful bays and beaches to explore. There seems to be plenty of activities to partake in (kyaking tours and river cruises), but it pays to book ahead to make sure you get to do them.

Room was lovely and bed very comfortable. Views from balcony over water and jetty very nice. Everything was very clean. Unfortunately they were fully booked and there were no car spaces left under the building. Bit disconcerting when random cars are driving through checking out cars in the undercover parking area. It's a beautiful little town which is very relaxing to stay at. The only downside is the lack of food options on a weeknight, and lack of quality restaurants. The atmosphere is great, the marinas and views of the bay are lovely. Accessibility is great and you are walking distance to alot. Cassies Beach is wonderful and clean - perfect for families with kids. Sam's Pizza is absolutely divine for a full belly feed at a reasonable price. The BoatShed had amazing fresh fish and chips! Unfortunately most businesses and restaurants are closed on Sundays and it is hard to find somewhere to dine.Shelby
