The city is beautiful, and you can see very nice people there. To enjoy the beach, go in the summer months. The botanic garden is beautiful and free. In the RSL you eat very well. You have to have a car to get around, like anywhere.

We went to the Forest Sky Pier and Korora Lookout - great for views and easy bush walks. The Coffs Jetty is good for a walk as well and there are plenty of good restaurants in the Jetty strip. We visited Woolgoolga just north of Coffs Harbour. It was lovely with a great beach for young kids and plenty of places to eat. We visited the clog barn as although we had been to Coffs Harbour before we had never been there. It was very quaint with an extensive miniature village and a bonus is that it was free. We also went to Sawtell which is just south of Coffs Harbour and it was a lovely trendy town with a nice main street and beach.

Hoey Moey restaurant is great for reasonably priced good food. The CBD is easy to walk in and features all the necessary business and services. We enjoyed walking near the beach, exploring Park Beach Plaza shopping centre, meeting with Christian brothers and sisters for worship and the friendliness and helpfulness of the local residents.

Coffs Harbour has gone from being a timber port to being a thriving, multi-faceted city which happens to have a couple of decent beaches. For variety, there is a chain of villages with "Beach" in their name as far as Woolgoolga. Several have eateries - we like the Beach Hut with its courtyard and Bluebottles at Woolgoolga, the place overlooking the beach at Emerald and Urban on the Jetty Strip and the Yacht Club in Coffs. There is heaps to do away from the sand: botanical gardens, art gallery and lots of scenic drives and more.

The traffic on the highway through the town is horrendous!

The traffic on the highway through the town is horrendous! All of the motels close to the city centre are also close to the highway meaning visitors are subjected to the noise of trucks - and there are a lot of them - using the highway 24/7.

We traveled with our three young kids, 1, 4, 5 years old. The apartments are just across the road from beach access and playground. The pool is also a fantastic option. Everything within Coffs Harbour is just minutes away to drive. And it’s a great spot to explore the area, which is what we did. There’s plenty of space in the apartment, and it is well equipped. The view to the ocean and mutton bird island is fantastic. We really enjoyed our stay.

Brilliant location and much cheaper than the motels I checked. There were ample restaurants and eateries basically just across the road. The owners were fantastic and security was excellent. A great pool too if only the weather was warmer we would have used it. We slept very well and were not disturbed by other guests noise. We had the family room which was great.

Check-in process was smooth, place was clean and comfortable but very basic. But seems like this is the case for all motels in Coffs Harbour. We only stayed the one night as driving through so it meeted expectations for that. Wouldn't stay longer, especially with a young family.
