- Best location with magnificent view from lounges and bar area anytime, and from dining room each morning at breakfast, plus easy walk to main street of Katoomba for restaurants & shops.
- Hotel has a new manager since our last stay: David and the staff were friendly, helpful, and keen to ensure we enjoyed our 3-night stay - upgrading us as return guests to the HUGE Tower Heritage Suite, so our standard room booking was extremely good value!
- This traditional guest house has old-style charm, K-bed was v. comfortable (new mattress), shower/spa bath was great with gorgeous-scented toiletries (see pic), gas fireplace + A/C kept us cosy, and WiFi, Foxtel & Coffee pod gizmo all worked.
- The Jamison Views restaurant is a treat, so we indulged fully every morning (see pics including breakfast waffles with grilled banana, salted caramel & whipped sour cream, and excellent coffee) & booked for dinner on our last night (Thurs), 2 courses with recommended wine for each: all truly delightful.
This historic boutique hotel, in the heart of Katoomba-Blue Mountains, features 2 separate guest lounge areas, and a sauna. Complimentary WiFi is provided in all communal lounge areas.

Love the look of the place very much modern
Michelle is a star - warm and welcoming upon check-in. Great recommendations of the area and what would be great for the evening. She definitely deserves a raise.
The bed was comfy and the bathrooms were huge. The air conditioning worked a treat.
We stayed in King Room facing the road. No road noise - a lot of ambient light due to the sign but the curtains blocked it out.

The weather wasn't the best ,when it's raining and foggy you couldn't see the beauty of the scenery, so you then go shopping. All the little shops are quaint and the fashion shops very good quality and very different . Lots of small cafes with excellent food and coffee. In the winter season always stay at a place that has open fire places.

We did a lot of hiking in national park forest and it was raining everyday but that didn't discourage us. You just feel like continuing to the next attraction and the next and the next.......before you know it you are deep in the forest. I loved it! Loved!! God willing i am going back.

In the heart of the Blue Mountains with lots of eating options. Lots of great walks nearby. The 3 sisters are within walking distance so you can avoid the parking charges recently implemented in the area.

Katoomba main street is still struggling after covid with quite a few empty shop fronts however mother nature and her spectacular views make up for this. Scenic World as the main draw is always worth the trip and Nocturnal event is a new way to experience the Valley. Of course Echo Point and 3 sisters are a must as is Govetts Leap lookout. So many pretty towns around like Leura and if you have time take a little side teip to Lithgow. Highly recommend this trip. Parking is an issue around the town centre and usual tourist attractions but worth dealing with anyway.

Direct train from Sydney.
Direct train from Sydney. Very quaint traditional old mining town, old fashioned 'high street' with plenty of places to stay and eat. We stayed in the grand Carrington Hotel which has a lot of history as part of the evolution of the town. Our main reason for visiting was to easily access the Katoomba based hop-on/off bus to visit The Blue Mountains. This worked perfectly and as well as seeing Katoomba and the blue Mountains, we also got to visit the pretty neighbouring village of Leura which is included in the route. We felt we made a very good choice.

Katoomba has everything you will need or find in a regional town. The large supermarkets are available and open for longer hours for groceries (Aldi, Coles, Woolworths). The shops and restaurants close early, so check times and organise around that. There are limited number of restaurants and eateries in town. We ate at Rustico - this place is almost always full (even on weekdays) - best book ahead. We had one sunny day out of 3 days. Luckily that was enough to visit Scenic World, do the rides and walk around. We recommend taking the Blue Mountains Explorer Bus (hop-on hop-off) to minimise driving. There are many easy to medium walks along the clifftops.
Excellent Location, ease of access to the main town of Katoomba and ECHO POINT, the tree sisters viewing vista
You could not ask for a better location in regards to the main tourist attraction and experience in the Blue Mountains
The Showers were the Best and Tv had some Smart features included, all the 21st century touches you want. stayed with family, room Has a fridge Tea coffee and glasses for our champagne drink *(staying for a birthday celebration with family from overseas in Ireland
Old fashioned style hotel with a large communal area with fireplace, and vintage decor. Room was warm, comfy and clean and reception was friendly and helpful. Close proximity to Katoomba RSL for dining, and a chocolate cafe just up the road. Simple contintental breakfast served onsite to get started for the day. No frills but great for a short 1 night stay.
The room had a great view and the hotel was in a comfortable walking distance to the Katoomba town centre. The parking area seemed quite secure. We loved the live piano music each evening and at breakfast on Sunday morning. We loved the food at breakfast and at dinner. The waiter (maitre d'?), called Scott was very accommodating and friendly.
It was exactly what I needed and at a good price.
it is perfectly located in katoomba, on the main strip, but katoomba is a quiet place so it’s not loud.
easy walking to all the food/cute shops you need and also 20-30 minute walk to the three sisters and cascades (but I believe there is also a bus).
It is also very clean and comfortable.
The hotel is ideally located close to Katoomba railway station. The bed was very comfortable and the shower good. The room was clean with tea/coffee/milk and kettle. We advised we would be arriving late and received helpful information via booking.com the necessary codes for collecting keys and gaining access. All worked extremely well.
Carrington is still a WOW hotel. The rooms are large, clean and have old world charm. But rooms downstairs however are amazing. The Grand Dining Room is something to behold. There is the bar area, the ballroom, the billiards room and the library. All rooms are just sumptuous. If you like Old World Charm, this is the hotel for you.
Fantastic old style hotel on main street (katoomba st). A bit walk from station specially because there's a hill, but I did it easy because I am used to walk.
Near Bus to take to three sisters. And scenic world. About 30 min walk...
The staff is super kind. Top!
Great parking for those who bring car
Our stay here exceeded our expectations. While the hotel looked a bit dated on the outside, the interiors were well kept and very clean. Our room was spacious and had a renovated bathroom. We had everything we needed for our family and we would definitely come back. Thank you!
Breakfast was nice, but a bit overpriced. Very limited menu for vegans or vegetarians.
The view on our side of the building was very nice, but there are few rooms to choose from.
A nice walk down into Katoomba with a walking path.
Staff were very personable.
This place is hidden treasure .. lovely old heritage hotel with a very cosy character at a very affordable price .I loved the decor of this place with amazing paper walls and old sofas and tables .It is very lovely place with the breakfast and friendly staff .
The Carrington Hotel is rich with history and is such a grand and stunning building with many rooms to enjoy. This beautiful property really does take you back in time and is rich with elegance and warmth.
The room was very clean and comfortable for a budget hotel and it felt very safe. The staff are very friendly and nothing I asked was an issue. Also the BP station across the road does good coffee.
it’s distance to the Echo Point Lookout and to Katoomba town centre is convenient
It has some modern facilities like lightings and allowed 3 of us to stay in the same room with a bed to ourselves
Breakfast was not possible in hotel because diningroom in renovation. The receptionist was very friendly and advise us a good italian restaurant in Katoomba.
You can't beat the location as it was a 3 min drive to the centre of Katoomba. The room was very quiet and the shower was hot with great water pressure.
