We loved the free range eggs. Lovely healthy and light. Although the weather was extreme the airconditioning in room was a welcome relieve. Also loved that it was walking distance form most places in town and an easy drive to some great wineries.

This room was everything we needed for an over night stay after a long lunch at Chauncy. Location was perfect, the host was very polite and accommodating. It was very clean and comfortable...... I'd go so far as to say the picture on the website do not do the place justice!

Aligning Health Retreat & Day Spa, hotel in Heathcote

Rooms are not big but comfy with smart TV. The basic breakfast are okay - toast with butter, cereal and hot cross bun. Drinks are milk, packed juice, tea and coffee. If the kitchen has a microwave that would even better.

Heathcote is a lovely small country town near Bendigo and Lake Eppalock, it has wide streets and plenty of shade trees. Situated in one of Victoria's popular wine regions and very famous for its Shiraz Wine. There are plenty of attractions in and out of town including a French Restaurant, Brewery and Gin Distillery plus a famous Bakery.

I went to Heathcote for lunch booking at Chauncy.

I went to Heathcote for lunch booking at Chauncy. Whilst the restaurant was good, rest of the town does not reflect same, similar or close to or decent concept of gastronomy. Felt the town should capitalise on the fame of the restaurant and upgrade its quality of food on offer. Saying that, I did not have the chance to go to the wineries.

Heathcote is a great little base to stay if you're visiting the wineries. Everything seems to be just a quick drive away. You will need to study the township a bit to find out where the restaurants and cafes are located but once found the quality is great. Its all a flat walk so easy for most people. We recommend Sanguine winery, Palling Bros Brewery, Flock of Geese Cafe (and food stuffs) and The World Famous in Australia, Segafredo Bakery.

    Super clean and very affordable.

Super clean and very affordable. Located just off the main road meant pubs and cafes were close enough to walk to but not so close as to be disrupted by noise. Bed was very comfortable, bathroom was very modern, clean and spacious. Plenty of hot water and fluffy towels supplied. Keep in mind that this is a small town so not everything is open beginning of the week. Located very close to a grocery store so was very easy to self cater. Lovely outdoor area to prepare a picnic Have already recommended to many people, will 100% be back for another visit.

we went to the Brewery for dinner, placed our order and paid for it but it never arrived. After one hour and fifteen minutes we asked but they were unable to say how long it would be. We left without even an apology. Had dinner in the café over the road. Otherwise everyone was very helpful and polite. The information bureau very informative.
