As you enter the property you get a sense of the peace and serenity you will enjoy at Hunter Gleann Pty Ltd Pokolbin . Arriving at the homestead or cottage, you will be welcomed by the warmth of the pre-lit fire (upon request) that has been prepared for you, just adding to ambience as you begin to unwind. In summer, a quick dip in the pool will help you to relax after your long journey. Sitting back in the afternoon with a cheese platter and a glass of the Hunter’s finest is complimented by the gorgeous views from your hill top retreat as the sunsets over the manicured 14 acre property. Dinner is a breeze with outdoor BBQs and full kitchens in both the homestead and cottage. If you don’t want to cook, Restaurant Botanica easy stroll across the paddock or several other restaurants and wineries are within walking distance for your convenience Heading off to bed is a pleasure as you experience the fine cotton sheets and soft fluffy pillows. Waking at Hunter Gleann is truly special as the sun rises to unveil the vineyards, olive groves and the Broken Back Range. We are happy to assist our guests with recommendations for private wine tours and other activities available when you book. ❤
Are you looking to indulge in a private wine tour while you are visiting the Valley? We operate private wine tours for guests who are wanting a little more from their wine tasting experience. Please contact us for enquires We love living in Pokolbin. We often head out to taste wine and the great food that this area has to offer. During the concert season we enjoy awesome music by great local and international artists. As a professional portrait photographer and owner of threepsphotography, the Valley provides me with fantastic backdrops for my work.
We are blessed to live on one of the most amazing streets with some awesome neighbours. If you like wine tasting Peter Drayton Wines, Pigs Peak Wines, Mistletoe Wines and Tintilla Wines are only a hop skip and a jump from Hermitage Hideaway. If beer is more your thing, IronBark Hill at Peter Drayton Wines is a great micro brewery which also serves great food. I little further down the road you can taste cheese, more wine and beer. There are also several great places to stop for lunch or dinner. If you're looking for something a little more active why not try hot air ballooning, take a helicopter or classic aircraft flight or hire a bike for the afternoon. Other attractions include the Hunter Valley Garden (and it's village,) Aqua Golf, Putt Putt Golf or visit the Hunter Valley Zoo and for the avid Golfer, the Hunter Valley offers some of the best golf courses around. As you can see, we have some awesome neighbours. Did I mention the chocolates, fudge, olives and great wines?
