Proximity to Semaphore and within walking distance to the beach and food outlets but may be a wee bit too far at times. A cheap regular shuttle run of some kind up and down Semaphore Road via Larges and Port Adelaide would be handy. Good being close to the rail station...could hop over to Larges Beach via trains. Bit more difficult to get to much of Port Adelaide. Favourite places were Semaphore and especially around Larges Bay. Had take away and/or bought my own at Drakes mainly because too many other outlets were closed too early to cater for business oriented people. Would avoid overpriced hotels with limited rooms some of which in hind sight are now obviously too small & which contain absolutely no seating in the room or even a small work space AND which were difficult to assess as such from the somewhat limited pictorial advertising .

I live in Brisbane and work all over Australia so I've been to a lot of city's. Adelaide to me must be the most livable city in Australia. The beautiful federation homes, wide streets, so very clean, walking pleasure, very modern but so good in keeping the history.

We had not visited Pt.Adelaide for some time and wanted to visit "The City of Adelaide" to see what ongoing work was happening--had a tour -very impressed . Also visited the Railway and Aircraft museums--again very impressed. We had on evening meal at Portobello-very good and several places for a coffee and cake.
