The little things that built that attention to detail were phenomenal - the grazing box and wine on arrival (much needed!), the little artefacts and information given about them around the cottage, the very well equipped kitchen with oven instructions clearly given - it just added to our wonderful trip. The Shearing Shed was comfy, peaceful and a great place for a weekend away!

Cleaning staff were lovely. We really liked that we could stay with our dog. Our room had everything we needed and was clean and comfortable. Rooms were easily accessible. Nice bathroom which looked recently renovated. Loved the USB ports on the side tables to easily charge phones at night. Fridge, microwave and kettle with biscuits, coffee and tea were a nice addition. Air conditioner works really well which was great during the summer heat.

Cowra is a service town on the western slopes of NSW.
Cowra is a service town on the western slopes of NSW. Was a major railway centre - there is a museum now. Strong links to Japanes twin cities due to POW camp in Cowra. Japanese gardens and war cemetery in Cowra. Major highway intersection point means a lot of services. Well tended older homes and gardens are a feature.

So much in such a small town - not really any restaurants around, but the POW exhbition, the art gallery and the Japanese gardens were absolutely fantastic. We also travelled further afield to do some hiking in Conimbla National Park (27 minute drive from Cowra) and Canabolas State Forest (an hour away from Cowra).

Monday is not a good night if you plan on eating out.
Monday is not a good night if you plan on eating out. A couple of pubs were closed although local info had them as open. The pub we ate at was rundown to say the least. On a positive note the Japanese gardens the Cowra sculpture precinct and the Cowra Prison of War camp were extremely well done and well worth the time. There was some art on old tanks above town also.

Cowra was meant to be an overnight stop on the way home from regional Victoria. However when reading what Cowra offered I would have liked to extend my stay, but that was nor possible due to personal commitments.
I did delay my departure by about 4 hours and visited some of the highlights the town has to offer.
Cowra is on my list of places to revisit next year.

Cowra is a quiet town, central and really has everything you need for a short stay. We loved the history, Japanese Gardens, excellent food, blossoms which were literally blowing across the street, the glorious gold of the canola which was in full bloom. We managed a side trip to the Age of Fishes Museum which is in Canowindra which is world class and Iandra Castle in Greenthorpe. All terrrifc. A pleasant restful stay with plenty of interesting things to do at a measured pace.
It was a quiet, convenient, Motel with very friendly staff - just what every traveller wants. The room was very clean and tidy. The motel is within walking distance of most shops - so good in that respect too.
Not an overly large room but adequate and met all our needs.
I would stay here again. Thanks again to Cowra Crest for the great hospitality.
The location, size of the rooms, ease of checking in and as well as receiving certain recommendations. All facilities are perfect for a work trip away for a night. Also a great initiative to receive a Cowra Bowling Club membership which can be given to you at the check-in counter. I'll certainly be back
Located right on the main street of town very close to eateries pubs etc. Was very quiet though as units are located to the rear of the property. Room was very clean and tidy, no complaints. Very professional staff. Would stay again. Loved our stay in beautiful historic Cowra.
We really liked this place. It's in a very quiet setting in the countryside just outside Cowra. Friendly helpful host, spacious room, comfortable bed, great shower, plenty of coathangers, pretty clean, and wonder of wonders, TWO racks for the luggage!
Centrally located hotel, handy to eateries etc. Pleasant host. Nice and quiet. Older place, but maintained very well. A credit to the owner, Great shower and nice big TV. Good to have facilities to make my own breakfast.
Highly recommended.
The hotel room was very clean and spacious. I was pleasantly surprised to see a microwave in the room which allows for options. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is great, quiet but still close to restaurants.
The location was in an idealic and relaxing setting. Great for a getaway for a couple or Family just a few minutes drive in to Cowra. The hosts were very welcoming and friendly which made our stay very enjoyable.
Great place to stay for our Easter cycling feast. Short drive to shops, restaurants and pubs in town but you need to know who is open and when. Lots of tourist sites to visit as well around Cowra.
The room was quite sizeable and clean. Quiet street and very lovely hotel staff. Loved being able to park right outside my hotel door. Very good location with lots of shops and cafe's close by.
Nice and tidy property - very clean. Staff were extremely helpful and accommodating. Only a 15 minute walk to the main street of Cowra, pubs and restaurants. Nice and quiet.
