Rosedon, hotel in Saint George

Located in Hamilton, 11 miles from Horseshoe Bay, Rosedon provides accommodations with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace.

Location is perfect! We could walk into town for shopping, dining, and the ferry terminal. Miles market is very close by for snacks, lunch and to go items, etc., which enabled us to get some to go items for lunch by the pool. Staff is beyond exceptional from Homer at our check-in, to the lovely gentlemen greeting us at breakfast every morning, they made us feel welcome and at home. Pool is nice. Veranda outside room was fabulous for first cup of tea in the morning to last cup of tea in the evening. Having a tea kettle and fridge was awesome.

Newstead Belmont Hills Golf Resort & Spa, hotel in Saint George

Located on the harbor, this resort in Paget features free shuttle service to the 18-hole golf course.

Overall nice property with location right across from Hamilton. Hotel has their own ferry, however that ferry has quite a limited schedule and not very convenient at most times (doesn`t run mid-day and stops running way too early in the evening, they`re also off on weekends and holidays). Public ferry stop/bus stop are not that far, but you`d have to walk on the road with no side walk and multiple curves, so you don`t really see what`s coming at you. Roads are super narrow and windy. We walked to the public ferry and bus several times anyway, but didn`t feel super comfortable due to above stated conditions. Hotel has heated pool and hot tab. Jets in the hot tab/control for the jets were broken throughout our stay (only front desk could turn them on), then heating in both pool and hot tab broke on the last 2 days of our stay. There is a fancy restaurant on site - since there aren`t any other food options without transportation, we`ve eaten dinner there several times as well as breakfast. Food was good for the most part (we liked some dishes better than others). Hotel provides rides to their other properties where you can find access to the beach, golf courses and a couple more restaurants (also quite expensive). If I was to go to Bermuda again I`d probably stay in Hamilton or would pick something around St. George, but would definitely consider easier access to different food options and transportation.

Oxford House, hotel in Saint George

Featuring free WiFi throughout the property, Oxford House offers accommodations in Hamilton. All rooms are fitted with a flat-screen TV. Certain units feature a seating area where you can relax.

We were delightfully surprised by our last-minute accommodation at the Oxford House. We unexpectedly had to stay another night in Bermuda (oh darn, right?) and the staff could not have been more welcoming, and the bed extremely comfortable. We appreciated the cozy conditions and assistance from staff throughout.

    Wahoo’s was a great restaurant.

Wahoo’s was a great restaurant. Highlight was the Historical Society Museum and the church. Hearing the stories about the history of Bermuda was fantastic. St. George is a day trip or a one night stay.

My husband and I stayed here for our babymoon. The facilities were gorgeous, the staff was so wonderful, helpful and kind. We loved the morning tea and coffee service and liked that this hotel was right on the beach. St. George is a quieter part of the island which was perfect for us, but other travelers who are looking for more activity and less beach access may prefer to stay in Hamilton instead.
