The location was very well, infront of the hotel was a Plaza with a supermarket, which I was very thankful for. Also, since it was in downtown, a lot of beautiful places were by a 5-10 minute walk

Located in downtown Montreal, Hôtel Faubourg Montréal is just 10 minutes' walk from St. Laurent Street, and only steps away from the historical Chinatown, a local heritage site.

Staff at reception were friendly and helpful. I had a wonderful room that included a full kitchen. Although my stay was short, comfortable bed and pillows are important to me and I was not disappointed. Hotel is walking distance from Old Montreal which made it an ideal location for me. Subway station not too far as well which is great for moving around the city. The included hot breakfast was fair and appreciated. I will definitely return to the location.

FAQs about hotels in Montréal

A Blend of the Urban and the Outdoors

Montreal is the second largest city in Canada and the entry point to Quebec province via Pierre Elliott Trudeau Airport. Montreal truly has it all. Divided into East and West by Boulevard Saint-Laurent, there are several districts to the city, each offering a distinct atmosphere.

Downtown is best explored on foot, as you weave your way through skyscrapers and visit museums such as the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. In the winter time you can steer clear of icy paths by heading underground through the passages of the Underground City, full of shops, cinemas and food courts.

From here metros will conveniently take you outwards in any direction you might want to go, from the historic Old Montreal to the hip café and restaurant culture of the Quartier Latin-Le Village.

In summer, stay closer to the old town and head outdoors in Parc Jean-Drapeau on the St Lawrence River islands of Île Sainte-Helen and Île Notre-Dame. If the weather isn’t fine enough for rowing, water-skiing and beaches then head to the Montreal Casino.

Whether you’re visiting for festivals or fashion, gastronomy or culture, with over 190 hotels and B&Bs with Booking.com you’ll find your perfect home away from home.

    Getting around Montreal was easy.

Getting around Montreal was easy. We stayed at a central location and most things were within walking distance. Ubers are readily available. The highlight of our trip was lunch and spa treatments at Bota Bota. Our favorite breakfast/brunch places were Beauty's and Olive et Gourmando. The best dinners were at Beatrice, Le Taj, and Nora Gray. The ferris wheel at night was so much fun. It far exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and a hike to the outlook point at Mount Royal. The best shopping was pretty far up Saint Laurent Boulevard. I think it started around the 4000 blocks. Have breakfast/brunch at Beauty's, walk a few blocks to Saint Laurent and turn left to shop. I wish we'd planned our trip for longer so we could have done more street shopping, gone to Cirque du Soleil, visited some churches, and taken the train to Quebec City for a few days.
