I recently had the pleasure of staying at Valley Hostel in Lauterbrunnen and I couldn't be happier with my experience. Kitchen is fairly large and all necessary cooking utensils are available. All electric kitchen devices were in perfect working order. The view from the small balcony attached to the room was fantastic. The hostel is also walking distance from the train station.

This hostel is very centrally located in Lauterbrunnen, making it a very good base for hiking and train travel. It is also close to the supermarket. The staff were very friendly and helpful, giving advice on hiking trails that were open etc. There was a nice outdoor area where you could sit and enjoy the views with food you prepared in the relatively spacious and very clean kitchen. This is a no shoe hostel so most areas were quite clean.
