The staff is fantastic! As first-time visitors to China, a helpful team of front-desk professionals is essential. They went above and beyond to ensure we were safe, had transportation, and taught us to use AliPay. They went above also made photo copies - which would otherwise have been a challenge. The location was great. We enjoyed the proximity to the Confucius Temple and many great street food options. The young lady at the lobby bar became a good friend and was very kind. The rooms were spacious and perfectly clean. Our trip was extended and we could not have picked a better place!

Arrived into Nanjing around 11:30 pm. Hotel picked me up for free and drove me the 10 minutes there. Driver / owner was great and spoke good English. Small and basic room with heat, a/c, and bathroom. Hot shower. I walked a block to get good coffee in the morning. Driver offered to drop me at the metro station - very helpful and accommodating!

I booked four rooms for eight people for a family getaway, four people traveled domestically and four people internationally. The room they gave me (who made the reservation) was the largest with plenty of window/view. The breakfast had many items to choose from (we ate there one morning). All the rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel is located very close to a traditional market and we enjoyed going there to try the local breakfast. Angela who greeted all the guests at the reception area was very helpful and friendly; she made the massage and breakfast reservations for us in a very efficient manner.

We only had three days in Nanjing before joining an organised tour around other cities in China. So we had to get by pretty much on our own. We visited the Zhonghua Gate and walked on the city wall, went to the observation deck (78th floor) of the tallest building, the Zifeng Tower, and visited the Nanjing Massacre Museum. The museum is amazing. Like everything else we visited in China, it has been done very well. The pictures and stories of the survivors are well presented, the photos and information are very moving. The music and lighting as well as the building are very impressive. We also had a great evening in the Confuscious Temple Qinhuai Scenic Area. It was bright and busy with amazing sights and we took the opportunity to take a night river boat ride which we were really impressed with. We ate hot pot in Haidilao in a shopping mall (very interesting!), noodles in a tiny place on the street, beef and ale pie in an Irish bar and schnitzel in a German restaurant. There is a great variety of food venues. Restaurants are always busy so don't ever be late for a booking because your table will be given away! Getting around was super easy by Didi (similar to Uber) and very cheap. We used Alipay and some cash to pay for our purchases. Chinese people were happy to help us when we were stuck despite there being very few tourists in the city. Signs were in Chinese and English most places we went which meant we weren't completely lost all the time! Overall we had a fabulous time in Nanjing and would recommend it as a city to visit if you are in China.

Nanjing is one of China great 4 ancient capitals packed with historical sites and cultural landmarks. Their cuisine is superb, I love how juicy the duck meat is, love how fragrant the osmanthus flower added to the sweet and desserts . Nanjing is definitely a must-visit for history geek and gastronoms.

Nanjing is AMAZING. Offering the whole China condensed into one city where "old and new" (Ancient and Modern) (History and Progress) are blending harmoniously. A lot of sightseeing within short distances. Suitable for limited time and budget

Nanjing is historically important due to its strategic location on the Yangtze River. The Nanjing City Wall is very impressive. The Nanjing Massacre Memorial is sobering, and it's even more so because few Japanese children learned about this brutal chapter in their WWII history and most of their adults are still in denial of this human tragedy. We can easily spend a month here and barely see a half of it.
It would be a real shame to visit Nanjing without some awareness of its importance in Chinese history. That would be like visiting Vienna and not know about its opera house, the Danube, and...

Rich history and culture. Food was amazing.
Rich history and culture. Food was amazing. There is so much to do and see in Nanjing, I only got to see a small part of it. The locals are friendly, though they generally don't speak English, so conversing and getting around can be difficult without a guide. Niushoushan was worth a visit, so too was the Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum and Confucius Temple, not to mention the night market and river cruises. Shanghai is only an hour away by bullet train which is plus, you can do day visits, though a stay over in Shanghai is probably better.

Nanjing is a city with full of vibrant and vibe for all types of people. Many interesting places for visiting. They are all well organized and maintained. Most of the places can be assessed by underground or other public transportation modes with reasonable price. I just love this city and I would come again in a very near future.

Super modern room, very clean and everyday room service. They provide you with a welcome package for the bathroom. Staff are very friendly. Location very central in Fuzimiao. It's more a hotel than a hostel vibe, so you most probably won't meet any other backpackers here (I was alone in the 4-bed room during my 2 nights stay). But because of that it's a very good opportunity to calm down a bit and relax from your journey. I liked it.
The hotel exceeded my expectations. In all respects it was outstanding. The staff were very helpful. The food at the hotel was amazing. While the location is out of the CBD it is very easy to access. The venue is very relaxing with great options for relaxing on site. The rooms are large with excellent facilities.
The staff really tried their best to help us out. Their effort is highly appreciated, from finding a lost package sent to us, to sending something out urgently while we were away from the hotel. 10 out of 10 for staff service. It’s also one of the few hotels left in Nanjing that do not refuse foreigners.
Hotel is conveniently located and room was big and clean. Slept well all nights and probably one of the best hotel I have stayed. Definitely value for money.
