We came on a walking holiday. The train was very useful for getting to places. we loved visiting the museum and just wished a bit more was in English but that is our fault for not speaking Czech! The people at reception of the adjoining hotel (Hotel Karel IV) were very helpful and friendly. The room is about 30 minute walk from the train station, so reception helped us get taxis. Near a forested area with river for swimming and trails for biking/walking. Not far from center of old town with good restaurants. I had heavy luggage so the ground floor apartment was a good choice. Turnov also had some surprisingly good cafes and restaurants, e.g., Cafe Depo and Panorama cafe. We were there as a family with two boys. They loved the pools. The outdoor pool area is not big but very nice. I could do my yoga outside. The hotel is well located, staff friendly.
