The town is dirty, lot of unused buildings, lack of people, may be due to national holydays. However, in nearby countryside are outstanding castles Konopiste, Cesky Sternberg, nearby wanderpath thatlead to lovely ranch, huge waterreservoire, where you can go for excursion (vodni dum Svihov). Etc
Very nice hotel which aparently used to be an old large farm / horse stud with a big rectangular inner area. The massive wood construction of the roof is visible in many places, including over the beds. Friendly staff, rooms above horse stables but no noise or odors reached our room. Large green lawn and swimming pool available, It was a fresh breath of air and very quiet. Restaurant offers nice food at reasonable prices
We booked here because Prague was pretty full for Easter, and we didn't regret the decision. The hotel is simple but clean and functional, I slept really well. A nice walking area with a stream and a calisthenics park are next to the Hotel. The highlight was the swimming pool with a jacuzzi and steam bath, and we got free tickets for 75 minutes which was sufficient.
It was pretty clean. There is a small fridge in the room. And a TV, but mine was not working.
There is free parking in front of the hotel, but if there's a sporting event in the area, it's full of cars.
You get an hour free in the swimming pool, but it's closing at 19:30, so I couldn't use it.
The heating was working, which was nice.
Only a 4 minute walk to the train station. The rooms are clean and spacious. A restaurant in nearby and the staff is fantastic. Everybody speaks English. A train ticket to Prague is under £4.00 first class one way at the time of writing. Benesov also has a great Castle to visit and it’s not too busy.
Excellent breakfast and an interesting and well maintained hotel building. Good selection of bars and restaurants nearby. Set in historic part of Benesov. Would definitely stay here again.
