The town is dirty, lot of unused buildings, lack of people, may be due to national holydays. However, in nearby countryside are outstanding castles Konopiste, Cesky Sternberg, nearby wanderpath thatlead to lovely ranch, huge waterreservoire, where you can go for excursion (vodni dum Svihov). It has very nice facilities, incl comfortable rooms, a spa and excellent restaurant for dinner and breakfast. The staff is very friendly and does everything to make your stay comfortable. On top there is a barn with horses, which is nice for families with children. A true recommendation for everybody who is looking for a relaxed stay in the country side.

The hotel is simple but clean and functional, I slept really well. A nice walking area with a stream and a calisthenics park are next to the Hotel. The highlight was the swimming pool with a jacuzzi and steam bath, and we got free tickets for 75 minutes which was sufficient.

There is free parking in front of the hotel, but if there's a sporting event in the area, it's full of cars. You get an hour free in the swimming pool, but it's closing at 19:30, so I couldn't use it. The heating was working, which was nice.

A restaurant in nearby and the staff is fantastic. Everybody speaks English. A train ticket to Prague is under £4.00 first class one way at the time of writing.
